I'm confused. Please, if anyone is willing, can you explain me what to do now?
I'm over my free trial period and already paid for the first month (I'm in the 30-day based sub). Can I keep it like that or am I screwed regarding the campaign?

as long as you get in 3 months of paid subscriptions before they go back to f2p(which sounds like end of september) youll be ok

You most likely still have to buy a 3-month period. It's cheaper so unless you're super strapped for cash you should do it anyway.
It's just reminding people to get their 90 days paid for by June 30th so that they qualify for Legacy. You have to have registered by May 31st though.
Ok, thanks, guys! Relieved now =D

As I understand it, if you started before May 30 but are still in the free trial you need to pay for a 90-day sub to qualify for Legacy.Players Currently Within the 30-Day Free Trial Period
Players who began playing as of May 2012 and have registered for a 90-day period before June 30, 2012 will be able to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.
After June 30 they're revoking Multi-month subs likely to avoid any headaches for when they take down the servers for the 2.0 transfer.
Given that Alpha is to start in September and October marks Beta it leaves them some wiggle room.
they added that on, when it first went up this morning it didnt have that on there
im guessing they saw enough questions to repost the legacy info to it too

As our community may be aware, FINAL FANTASY XIV offers 30-day and 90-day subscription periods. We wish to inform our players that we will be discontinuing the 90-day subscription option on Saturday, June 30, 2012. Beginning Sunday, July 1, 2012 we will only offer a 30-day subscription plan.
Fulfilling the Requirements for the Legacy Campaign
Players Currently Within the 30-Day Free Trial Period
Players who began playing as of May 2012 and have registered for a 90-day period before June 30, 2012 will be able to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.
Current Players
Players who have subscribed for at least 90 cumulative days since January 6, 2012 will be able to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.
Returning Players
Players who played before January 5, 2012 and wish to resume playing again will need to register for a 90-day subscription before Saturday, June 30, 2012 (Also the day the legacy campaign ends) in order to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.
Information regarding the transition from the current game to version 2.0 will be announced on the Lodestone in the future.
Players Currently Within the 30-Day Free Trial Period
Players who began playing as of May 2012 and have registered for a 90-day period before June 30, 2012 will be able to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.
The problem stems from incorrect use of terms.
"As of" in this case, is incorrect. If Square had a competent technical writer, it would read
"Players who began playing before June 2012 and have registered for a 90-day period before June 30, 2012 will be able to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.""
Saying "As of May" technically means anyone that bought the game after May. It's like reading a sign in a store "As of May 2012, we will no longer accept personal checks." That means that -after- May 2012, they will no longer accept checks! So If I were to interpret there post in correct English, I am eligible because I have been playing 'as of May' and I can pay for 90 days 'before June 30'.
I'm kind of scared about this now for a couple of my friends. I finally got them to resubscribe, one on June 7th and the other on June 12th. Both of them already had been through the free trial before January. I was wondering how this would apply to both of them being on 30-day subscriptions and whether or not they should consider getting the 90-day one or not.
Really hoping a rep shines in on this thread, the post is really vague.
