Regarding the legacy campaign announcement- New deadline?

Players Currently Within the 30-Day Free Trial Period

Players who began playing as of May 2012 and have registered for a 90-day period before June 30, 2012 will be able to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.

Current Players

Players who have subscribed for at least 90 cumulative days since January 6, 2012 will be able to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.

Returning Players

Players who played before January 5, 2012 and wish to resume playing again will need to register for a 90-day subscription before Saturday, June 30, 2012 in order to fulfill the requirements needed to qualify for the Legacy Campaign.

When I first read this I figured this simply meant that you had til the end of the month to take advantage of the 90 day option to fufill the campaign requirement. When I read it again, it sounds more like june 30th is the last day to qualify for the legacy campaign.

Some clarification here is vital, as it may influence my ability to persuade someone to subscribe at all.

there is no new deadline for legacy

they announced the cutoff date for subscribing for that last month(which has already apssed)

as long as you stay subscribed, and were in before that cutoff you are ok

That's not what the first and last parts sound like to me. It sounds to me like they -have- to get a 90-day subscription now in order to qualify, implying it won't be possible to get 90 days any other way.

As I understand it, if you started before May 30 but are still in the free trial you need to pay for a 90-day sub to qualify for Legacy.

After June 30 they're revoking Multi-month subs likely to avoid any headaches for when they take down the servers for the 2.0 transfer.

Given that Alpha is to start in September and October marks Beta it leaves them some wiggle room.

For not having anything to do with Legacy, they sure do spend a lot of time focusing on how to qualify for Legacy including that misplaced Legacy graphic above it as well as using the word Legacy in every paragraph.

Alpha? There isn't going to be an alpha. The Beta is for PS3. Technically you could call the reinstated free period a "beta," but that's not what they're calling it.

Yoshi has said in E3 interviews that in September there will be a PC Alpha phase and in October a PC beta phase then from November on the PS3 beta/PC free trial.

no, this announcement had NOTHING to do with the legacy, it had to do with subscriptions plans in general
