Won't be so sure about Darklight Caligae on bard however, since I'd have to check if it's better then the 5 GC pieces combo for the new bow (+30 Attack bonus is probably something I'd like to aim for).

It's not worth giving up crafted gear/af pieces/darklight feet to be honest. There's barely any PIE on company gear which you can get a lot of through non-company gear. If you are under the PIE cap then 30 Attack power = 20 PIE, and even just full AF gives +38 PIE. Hell, just Darklight Boots on their own match the +30 attack power on the bow.

That said, the Lieutenant bows are really strong regardless and are perfectly fine if you don't have a primal weapon.

some GC gear is far better then AF on Bard. AF body is useful for skill bonus, but it's not hard to arrange a couple of macros for that. About the DEX feet, you probably gain only +10 Dex and Acc from them, but considering the set you trigger a lot of bonus stats from other GC pieces. The total is probably worth.

And yeah, Lieutenant bows are really strong, probably even better then primal weapons. So Storm Sergeant's Jackboots are probably worth (also can't meld dex or piety on feet, so it's not really that bad).
