We have proof all over the forums, and you're falling back on another of your old tricks- asking for proof on things that are obvious facts, and even things that have been proven facts in this very conversation.
In short, you, sir, are a troll, and all you say will be hereby ignored in the better interest of all.
I personally quit for a year because of RMT being everywhere, and did the same with XI in its prime. Tons of people have also quit either directly or indirectly because of them, and in 2.0, they will cause even more to quit if not dealt with, as was proven in XI.

actually i havent seen 1 person leave cause of RMT. i see people quit cause of lack of content, drop rates, easy kill mobs. RMT arent the only people who can make bots. Yes is against ToS but yet SE has done nothing cause they need the cash to support the game till 2.0. I dont see how RMTs affect immersion. Once again they farm that much who cares, if you dont buy it, doesnt effect you the people who buy the gil are worse than the RMTs imo. cause money is extremely easy to make anyway, the ones buying are just lazy.

Give me some specific statistics that shows how many people have been quitting due to RMT specifically, otherwise you're just providing a testimony with no basis in fact. It's a fact that each RMT playing is paying SE the monthly fee necessary to keep playing, please provide the evidence that they drive away an equal or larger amount of players.

I wouldn't call the buyers lazy. I'd say they just have better things to do with their time that generate more RL dollars per hour than the cost of gil. Sure, they're breaking the rules and should be banned alongside the sellers (just like in XI) but that doesn't make them lazy. If anything, it means they are willing to work even harder in real life to support their addiction to pixelated shinies.

Point is, RMT are here. They will be here long after you quit. Either deal with them or do like you said, quit. They aren't destroying your village, or stealing your car.

    Fact is:

Just to add to the photo above.

Only two actual players there, me and someone else, signified by our LS pearls. Oh and the person with the Bazzar, that is the RMT leader, Apple something.

The only quality method of getting rid of RMT I've ever seen is the one used in EVE Online, where you can effectively buy in-game currency via a very unique method: Pay for a month's subscription to the game and sell that month's subscription to another player using in-game currency.

It's sort of like legalising RMT, but to do so you must give a benefit to other players.

of course taking legal action requires you to prove they actualy caused harm to the game which in turn harmed the business....but thats another story altogether and i cant think of any cases in which its actualy been pursued since no game has shut down because of it

and before someone says it, this is in regards to someone just being rmt in a game, nto to hacking(which is against the law) in order to do it by stealing accounts and so on, now THAT is illegal
only action they can take is ban the account tos is not a contract

In 2.0, they should make it so people who are confirmed RMT get tagged, and can be killed as if it were a PVP server, maybe even for rewards, but they can't fight back.
    ;D
That way, they are eternally hindered by players killing them, and SE still gets payed.
