Seriously, if you can't stand it, just leave it be. Hating on this sort of thing is pointless. Don't hate on the attention whores so much as the people who don't have the sensibility to look deeper. Showboating doesn't create jerks, it just attracts them.
I love how you say that I think that we should be no gender blobs. People can have the appearance of any gender they choose.

LOL sensibility to look into the reason why a woman seeks to expose her body?

Let me go into this deeper then

    Woman
Receives less attention from any form of life who's opinion they care about.
Dresses 'sexy' to receive attention from other life forms.
    ?????
    profit

Regardless, I think a woman can be sexy without showing skin. I'm not saying go wear burkas, but being overly sexy pretty much puts women into the brainless, 'only for sexual use' mould that they have been trying to work themselves out of. I don't like it when people, regardless of gender are stereotyped into molds that are not true.

I mean, when people look at a police officer, they see his uniform, and then say 'hey you're a police officer because you look like one!" when a woman wears the 'uniform' of a whore, what do you expect others to think? And if you think looking like someone who needs to exchange sexual services for money is helping women out somehow, I would love to know how.

People can do what they want regardless of my opinion, It just sucks having to live with the stereotypes those people form.

I'll be honest, I was expecting to see "Women who dress like whores deserve to be treated like whores." or some other s**t like that. Women can dress how they like and it's not your place and it's not anyone's place to even suggest otherwise. In New York it's even legal for a woman to be topless in public all together and IMO, that should be the case everywhere! Does that make them "whores"? NO. It makes them proud of their bodies and your mentality of "women should cover up" has hurt society more than the other side of the argument.

Please take your ranting of how other women should dress elsewhere, this is a thread about sexy (or the lack of sexy) in game clothes for FFXIV.

All well and good, but if you want to dress like a brainless tramp then expect to be treated like a brainless tramp. Don't sit there and try to tell people you have every right to dress like a street walker but everyone has to treat you like a college professor. You present yourself that way, expect to be treated that way.

If a woman dresses in clothes that show a little skin or cleavage, how does that make them look brainless, please enlighten me. And how do you make the leap of "showing some skin" to "dressing like a street vender"? Honestly... And who said anything about being treated like a professor? As a matter of fact I said NOTHING of what you're talking about.

Oh wait, you were talking about the STEREOTYPE that women who aren't afraid to look sexy are stupid and whores. Nevermind, continue being a biggot. I'll just ignore you from now on.

It's always the people that know you the least, that judge you the most. When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself. Don't criticize someones flaws and mistakes if you can't even see your own. We can never judge the lives of others, because each person knows only their own pain and renunciation. It's one thing to feel that you are on the right path, but it's another to think that yours is the only path.

So please don't judge someone solely by their appearance/clothing style. It is silly. I have seen way worse attention seekers on vent then I have from random people wearing "Sexy" clothes.

Also there is no point in saying "gamer girl" gamer is just a gamer. Man or woman..no difference.

Since this is going way off topic...inb4 lock. 8D

Ignore me all you want, it doesn't change the way the world works. People will judge you based on what you wear, and if you wear clothes that reveal large amounts of exposed skin people will assume it's because you have nothing else worth showing off.

Let me make it easier for you to understand. Two men walk into a job interview at a lawyer's office. One is wearing a suit and tie, has his face shaved and his hair nicely combed. The other has a half-beard, tattoos, a tongue piercing and plugs in his ears. Which do you think is more likely to get the job?

You can say all you want but you know damn well the guy in a suit will be taken more seriously and be more likely to get the job. You may not like it, but the world doesn't work in your myopic little fantasy land where people can do whatever they want but no one has the right to treat them differently. People will judge you based on appearances because it's the first thing they notice about you.

Try telling all those women who don't get a job because they have facebook pics of them in their underwear drinking beer that they can "wear whatever they want", let me know how hard they laugh at you.

"You only get one chance for a first impression." It's an old saying, not because people say it all the time, but because, like all other sayings, it is true and profound.

Dear lord there's enough strawman arguments here to fill a football stadium. Ok, where to start.

People want to judge then fine, that's human nature. But when you say treating a woman a certain way just by how they dress and you tread the same water as those who say women who expose "too much" skin deserve to be raped.
Further reference so you can't claim that's out of context

Please show me where I even mentioned getting a job at a lawyers office? I would dismiss this argument on the basis that it has no relevance but it's just too easy. No where did I ever mention extreme cases of "peacocking" outside of a simple example of a right of women that they are free to be topless in New York, which is in fact, simply a free liberty of women.

As for the conclusion for your irrelevant and incomplete premise, you state the obvious. Yes, a person who dresses for a job will be taken more seriously than someone with the -same- qualifications who didn't dress for the job. But if you add to the premise that the latter of the two highly qualified with a masters degree in whatever law and the man in the suit and tie has a G.E.D. and no further education, the choice becomes more clear which will be taken more seriously. Which is the main point of your false argument that people should be treated how the dress. Also, I never mentioned a myopic fantasy land where people can do whatever they want and not be treated differently. My whole argument was something else entirely that I will get to when I'm done debunking you.

I would love to hear your logic how this ties in even given your irrelevant premise and self serving conclusion. There's a -massive- difference between being judged in a public place for dressing "sexy" by showing a little skin and being judged by actions deemed irresponsible by employers.

Again, has nothing to do with my argument but just adds to your irrelevant argument.
Let me spell it out for you; my argument is that the attitude that women should cover up has caused a wide-spread damage in the image of women in society that can be viewed in a more extreme example in countries like Saudi Arabia where women aren't allowed to even show their eyes or ankles. Although western countries are not at this extreme, social pressures that any woman who dresses with sex appeal in mind makes them "brainless" or a "tramp". Dressing with sex appeal in mind is good. It makes men and women feel good alike, this is a fact, it's human nature, men and women like to be sexy when they aren't ashamed of their bodies and this mentality that people should cover up for some personal opinion of another is doing nothing but bringing the self-esteem of women down. This is my argument, this is my point, not what you have been spewing at me in your replies.

And as a final rebuttal of your argument, which has almost nothing to do with mine; Fine, go ahead and judge, but just remember there's always two sides of the coin. While you can go enjoy your low self-esteemed selves and girlfriends/wifes who are ashamed of their body just remember the other side will be judging you as well. Just know that your judgement of others is more harmful than what you oppose.

LT;DR YOU DIDN'T READ WHAT I SAID, BUT YOU'RE STILL WRONG.

Excuse any typos, haven't slept yet and don't feel like proof reading.
