Lets say somebody takes a break for a while, or have a hectic work schedule. Eventually players on his server will move on to newer content leaving the old one behind. Also his playtime is on off hours when most people is asleep or at work or in another region prime time.

That happened to me. Never finished WotG on FFXI.

I don't blame people that don't always help. People will usually do main stories once. Why would you go back and do it again? Like if you have a time machine and can go back into time..

It would be nice if there was some kind of mentor system, or a karma system that rewards helpers. let it be extra seals, anima, achievement. Something worthwhile.
