I doubt RMT would use stolen credit cards. It's a legitimate business. Using stolen credit cards would just get them in trouble seeing as the profit they make has to be claimed. Most of them are just people like you and me trying to make a few extra bucks. They're not hacking old magic skills, you and your friend saw this wrongly. Every spell you do gets server side checked, even if you get everything modified locally.
As for RMT payments, some people argued they cost SE money since they use stolen CC and stuff like that. I could kind of understand that on a large scale (wow,d3,etc) but for XIV i dont know, they've been around too long and too obvious imo.

That is what I thought, and said in one of the other 20'000 threads on this topic, but people argued with me they use stolen CC so who knows.

Yeah no. RMT is not a legit business. Many gaming companies will seek legal action against people doing it. Unless of course you're Blizzard and make a game that supports it, getting 15% of each sale. Then they wanna see it happen.

I know most people like to make out that RMT are boogie men that steal all our money, but they are a business, they would not steal credit cards.

Well, they only used to steal our accounts back in XI to sell our stuff. Why not trust them as the legitimate business they are? I'm sure many people here must feel comfortable around them.

In 2.0, they should make it so people who are confirmed RMT get tagged, and can be killed as if it were a PVP server, maybe even for rewards, but they can't fight back.
;D
That way, they are eternally hindered by players killing them, and SE still gets payed.
SE do this please. Instead of banning flag them for PK.

a legitimate business? you mean aside from the Illegal part?
