Warrior, 2 perfect Rage IVs = 50 enmity. That's on Bravura.
Monk, 2 perfect Mana IVs = 70 MP. That's on Spharai.
Black Mage, 2 perfect Hell's Fist IV = 30 AMP. That's on Stardust.
Dragoon, 2 perfect Savage Might IV = 100 CHAP. That's on Gae Bolg.
    Bard, 2 perfect Heaven's Eye = 40 Accuracy. That's on Artemis.
    Paladin (Supposedly), 2 perfect Heaven's Eye = 40 Accuracy. That's on Curtana.

White mage is the only one that breaks this pattern that we know of, since MND is the only thing you can meld on CNJ 2h and that's at 60, instead of 40. Even that could be a mistake in the dats? 6/7 ain't bad. Yes, I know the materia doesn't have to be perfect, but the point is the quest line is about building the weapon step by step, not pleasing a diversity quota in the materia market.

I don't see how VIT makes more sense. Saying it should be VIT because it has HP on the sword? I think it should be DEX because DEX=Accuracy, that's on the sword. Oh, hey, MND=Healing Potency and that's on Curtana, I guess it's MND!! It could literally be everything but Accuracy, because STR=Increased Spirits Within Damage as well.

I'm going to assume his line of reasoning was that VIT is an essential core state for Paladin, Whereas Accuracy is quite negligible in comparison. Your information concerning the actual states on the relic weapons correlating to what the materia is seems to make sense also, though.

CNJ weapon have a default MND+20, so it didnt break any pattern.
