    Chocobos, Teleportation, Airships, and your feet. A Travel Thread

    As we all know now, there's the Anima system that lets us teleport whereever the hell we want.

    This equates to teleporting from one place from one side of the world and back for like, 3 anima. We each start with 100.

    When Chocobos and Airships undoubtedly (please?) come out, and the Teleport system is still in place (please?), will SE limit our Teleportation abilities to influence us to use the other services we've been demanding more often?

    Only time will tell, but what do you gentlemen think will happen, or give an educated opinion and tell us what SHOULD be implemented.

    I'd think, with Chocobos and Airships, Anima should be cut down to 75, maybe 50. After that, hands off.

    idk.. i will still use em transport if im out of anima; i think most ppl do that too.

    I want anima completely removed once we get airships and chocobos

    hell, we can still have teleports like warp spells or warp scrolls but please no Anima

    IDK, it's a tough one to call. On one hand, we REALLY want airships and Chocobos. On the other, it is convenient to use anima.

    Personaly i dislike using Anima, it takes away the sense of adventure you get from cross-country traveling. Howver, I know that is not for everybody.

    Dropping the amount of anima we have is a good idea. Also, what about only being able to teleport to placs we have already visited. For example, you cannot use anima to reach LL until you have been there once (say for instance you must go to the heroes guild).

    This will still allow the use of anima, plus will give a reason to use airships and chocobos. personally tho, i would much prefer the chocobos and airships

    Anima and teleportation will be limited somehow. Removing anima goes against the whole idea of letting people accomplish things in short amounts of time, so fuck that idea. Anima is also useful when you have to meet up with LS members to do something and there's no time to spare in traveling.

    I wouldn't be surprised if they limit teleportation to between camps or gates within camps only and probably charge gil for them once chocobos and airships are introduced.

    The only "warp" spell they should introduce is one that takes you back to the beginning of a dungeon, as they've had in previous FFs.

    It's not like people are never going to use chocobos or airships just because anima's around anyway.

    Don't remove options.

    I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders.     I actually suspect as the game progresses and more areas open up, we'll begin to see fewer and fewer camps, or perhaps even camps without Atheryte Crystals.. Or camps so sparsely spread out from one another, that the convenience of direct teleportation will be lessened. In other words, I think teleporting will begin to have less and less benefit the further from home we have to travel, and Chocobo and Airships will begin to have an integral mid-late game use.

    I agree that the place of anima in the game should be significantly reduced once Chocobos and Airships are implemented. It should not be removed, but it should be something that people only use when they really really need to get somewhere asap.

    I would not be against the removing of anima, but we have to think about casual players too. It is convenient. So I'd say maybe lower the regeneration rate.

    And remember, if anima ruins your feeling of adventuring - just don't use it But you shouldn't block a feature of a game just cuz you don't want to use it.

    So, I'd keep it. Just wouldn't use it, only in emergencies - like to meet someone.
