    12% chance will only be there probably if you have double max tier IV and if you are smart you will use lowest tier IV to meld this relic for higher chance.

    and also i think it's decent because i have actually melded over 600 items, so i do know how it actually works rather than crapping this thread with random numbers.

    There is that with the max T4 but if I'm out SBing my own I'm not gonna bring so much crap that I sit there until I've gotten 2x lowest and then hope on that one pair working.

    I've seen that you don't agree with it before, that's why I'm thrown by you not calling this whole RNG for 50% of AF weapons for what it is, which is crap.

    On the other half, the large numbers aren't the point, the point is that while the probability is 15~20%, that does not mean I am guaranteed to get a success in 5~8 tries, it's absolutely possible that it could take more than 20/50/100. Your attacking a big number, but somehow not realizing that it's not BS it can happen. I'm sure that at some point someone will hit 30 breaks and throw a controller/keyboard/mouse at a wall or what have you, because at the end of the day 20% probable is just another way of saying you might succeed but probably won't.

    Theres nothing to know how it works, except how to get a few % more each try.

    But still everything is possible. You can go 1/1 with a 5% chance of success but on the other side u can go 0/50 with a 40% chance of success.
    Did the player, who didnt farm HQ mats to get a few more %, deserve it more to get the double melded? Did he work harder for it? I dont think so.

    Already 21 pages and some still dont get the point.
    Not to make it easier, faster (hell, they can even put a month of wait-time between those quests, as long as its the same for everyone) or whatever. But thats said thousands of times yet...

    Let's say we drop the RNG will people be more happy if they asked us to turn in 10x single melded Avengers lol? and then 60 hamlet seals making them 100% droprate for everyone like primals? then 30 CC/AV items?

    What are they gonna whine next? we don't like to spam content? We want challenging fight instead!

    So they implement challenging fight? what are they gonna whine next? Fight is too hard, nobody but the hardcore can kill it, make it easier??!? (This is already proven by Garuda content)

    or even worse, fight is too hard, but the second someone figures out the best way to fight it, all of a sudden its easy and everyone can do it and then everyone gets insta drops

    challenging fights dont work in alot of aspects cuz of that, they are either too hard or they are solvable and thus being hard is temporary


    there will always be a reason for people to complain about things that will take them time to get, no matter how easy or hard it is, as long as they cant get it easy and quick, they will complain

    There is a middle ground...it is SE's job to find it not ours =P

    They are the developers getting our money..and asking for our feedback stressing how important it is not to make the same mistake twice. Well..here is a long thread on feedback SE, people do not like your RNG stuff.

    I feel OP did an excellent job with their suggestions. That would be a great balance imo. Much more fun too, I love fighting hard NM with my friends vs farming gil by myself so I can battle against the RNG...

    while true its also false. if you take something as simple and laborious as farming totorak for seals as an example. while nothing there is 100% drop you're guaranteed to walk away with at least a few seals at the end of it. that = progress. whether you'va walked out with 1 item for seals or 10. its still progress and still measurable.

    much the same with garuda. while weapons and stuff are entirely random and mucccchhhh less than 100% you're at least guaranteed headresses which ultimately = progress.

    opposite with ifrit/mog/other stuff its really easy to beat something & walk out with nothing. its really easy to beat it 10 times walk out with nothing. it's really easy to beat it 20 times and walk out with nothing.... = no progress.

    progress however is the key word. i dont think people mind the repetition so much its just the luck factor. if instead of obtain 9 seals (3 from each hamlet) it was something consistent like beat 150 hamlets. (50 for each) then it's consistant its measurable and you always make some progress. sure the rng would still impact loots and militia stuffs but you would at least be making measurable progress towards one of your goals

    Did people complain this much about how hard it was to obtain relics in XI? I never got on the forums for those so I wouldn't know, but it seems like everyone in Xi just took how hard they were to get as fact.

    I do remember though that when you saw someone with one, you gave them the nod and told your ls you were looking at one. Much like you do when you see a rare car or plane in RL. Thats what these are intended to be. NOT FOR EVERYONE. Stop thinking of these as AF weapons from xi, and start thinking of them as actual relic weapons would be my bet. As for the stats, they are good base stats as I am sure SE will make these upgradable as the level cap increases. Gut check time folks. Maybe SE doesn't want every tom dick and mithra to have one.

    People will complain they do not want to repeatedly content because it's boring. No one here that whines ever came up with proper solution.
