I might be the odd one here, but I really could not care less about MANthras and GALkas.
There are more important things that need fixing atm.
There is nothing right with this sentence. Just because the character designs are similar doesn't mean the societies would be the same. For all we know Mi'qote had a history of misoandry.
And how can you say the lore's hardly changed? They come from two different lands! Different histories and gods! Mi'qote of different colors! Look at the EYES, man! You don't get that in just a few years off the boat! I've yet to hear such things mentioned even in passing in the Mithran lore.
I want to be a catboy =( Blade & Soul does it, Tera does it XIV ... pretty please. I'll promise to be a good player and complain less about how all the quests in the game are copies of one another and don't have cutscenes for an entire week if you give me a new character to level =)
Wrong.
Galka - Tailed race that reincarnated through a unknown system, some speculate the tails cut off and a new body grows to the old tail. Race is genderless.
Roegadyn, Bipedial race with BOTH genders, Males are tall, broad and strong and tend to be pirates, seamen, and fishermen. Women tend to be Fishermen, crafters, or politicians.
Mithra, Males are super rare, guesses put at 1 for every 10,000 Females. Reproduction is selective by society. Males are overly protected by the Females and rarely leave the OZ Continent.
Miqo'te, Males are equal in population density to females but are not as social as the females are. They tend to be solitary and prefer working alone over in groups. (Similar to Lions)
The lores in game from multiple NPC's explain massive differences in both the cultures, appearance, and the presence of Genders for the Miqote and Roegadyn. The only reason they are not in the game was because the development team ran out of time to implement them for launch and were looking into a way to introduce them later.
This thread is asking if since the staff has changed if this is still an option for LATER, and when maybe we might expect it.
I have to thank Square-Enix for the amazing job they have done recreating Final Fantasy XIV from Scratch. Especially the inclusion of Missing Genders which we petitioned for in good faith. This was proof to us players that the Developers are truly Sympathetic to our requests and that being honest and vocal can pay off with the amazing characters we have who are Female Roegadyn, Male Miqote, and Female Highlanders. Thank You SE, Thank You Community Team, Thank You Yoshi-P.
Let's not forget that Galka were a heavily enslaved race, mistreated and one which most were highly prejudice against.. And Roegadyn by comparison appear to share equal rights with that of every other race in Eorzea. Mithra too appeared quite amazonian in nature - very tribal and jungle-like - whereas there is much less indication (if perhaps any at all) of that with Miqo'te.Wrong.

This isn't just the case with these races either though.. Try comparing the Tarutaru to the Lalafell and many stark differences emerge there as well. These races are really nothing alike whatsoever, the only similarity they share at all is in reference to their character designs. (which in itself, has actually changed a lot between the two games..)
This is the FFXIV forums for FFXIV. I think you're talking about a totally different game. ;3its been while since i read FFXI mithra lore. so correct me if im wrong but the male mithra where only used for breeding(used the breeding part do to them hardly leaving the citys/towns) because the weman of the race were more battle supior wasnt it. so wouldnt that mean male cat with shitty stats? who in their right mind would play a class with shitty stats....
But yes, in FFXI that would probably be the case.

I think it's funny to see people say well in XI lore "Blah Blah Blah" when this is a totally DIFFERENT game. Try doing some homework first >.>. At this point all those kind of posts are good for is post count and thats it LOL. It really shows how much they know about this game.
