Breaking down some of the screenshots

Any one else notice the lack of a weather icon? or the target type icon? (all/party/enemy/friendly)
Also while I like the "cell phone" style connection icon, we wont know our S/R numbers anymore
Lastly notice the first icon in both the DRG SS and the PLD SS are the same, wonder if that's a passive/active mode switch or something else

Weather Icon is on the top edge of the mini-map. and I'm sure they reworked the Targeting system alot.

Thinking thats the moon phase icon and not a weather icon
1 is the moon and the other is the sun, shows relation to where they are in the sky
Could be wrong though, maybe they ditched the moon phase thing

Now I'm thinking that you're right and that icon is static and shows the weather, while the other icon of the sun moves around and changes to a moon when it's night (which we don't see in any SS's)
