why don't we take all the Diablo 3 talk and put it back in Hell where it belongs?

"Unbelievable wipes... indescribable failings. Whining, bitching, rage quitting - through an endless party find." - Doho, A Whole New Whorl
I haven´t play Diablo 3 yer so I wont say anything about it but just wanted to say that:
Numbers of buyers don´t always equal a quality game, as videogame history has shown us (Psychonauts, Ico specially at realase, and a lot more of games good and bad)
Most of the content can be soloed because it is a rpg with multiplayer options like its great predecessor, FFXIV is a MMO so party content is a must.
About the game itself I can´t talk, cause I haven´t play yet ! But I hope is great and that Blizzard solve all the problems (altough being connected to play is kind of lame but oh well).
I haven´t tried Hamlet yet, (I don´t have time because of college U.U) so I cannot really give a valid opinion, but what I like to say is that the design and the lore is pretty cool, I will try to get atleast WHM Relic Weapon-
May you always walk under the light of the crystals.
Yet ppl are complaining about the game and a lot have quit cause of the shitty drop rates.I detect a hint of sarcasm in your post, but i'm giong to pretend you're being serious.
Need I say more? Honestly this wasn't meant to be a plug for D3, it was just a transitory ntroduction to explain how i feel about FFXIV and you are making a big stink about it?
Lets break down what you said though, just so we are on the same page (assuming you are being sarcastic and mean the opposite of what you wrote: diablo 3 requires no skill, has horrible drop rate, and requires constant grinding. This is different from FFXIV how? Oh...right, no monthly fee and 6+ million player base in one week. One more thing, most of the content can be completed solo.
The people have spoken.
However, that's not at all what my post was about. My post was directed at the fact that no one wants to do Hamlet Defense for obvious design flaws so SE slaps on grinding hamlet defense as a prerequisite to legendary/relic weapons. This is supposed to make people want to play hamlet defense? Judging by the responses in this thread, I think not. In fact, I think it will make players even more reluctant and spiteful of Hamlet Defense.
lol which seals? gc seals drop rate from nm is bad at the best of times & the respawn time is b/s for many reasons, hard enough to get 8 people to do caravans let alone DH run, totorak is also hard to get people to go everyone says "yea i'd go" but when it comes to it there like "no not now" or i decided to join another party just to piss you all off because you asked.Drop rate on seals isn't bad. We've found they drop often over the 60K points mark but that may be coincidence and unrelated. An organized linkshell should be able to produce the seals to get one to two players an AF weapon per week (three days of Hamlet) with a little effort and planning.
As for hamlet seals been there done a few never seen 1 seal, once again its hard enough to get 8 people togeather l/s or otherwise & same excuse "yea i'll do it anytime" ask anytime & you get "no not now or later or ever"
cynical i know but its true & happens daily to people
Yep, relics in XI were pretty much the status symbol. To even have one weapon was a big achievement.
People shouldn't be expecting this to be easy. The fact that people are complaining about it is an indicator that the difficulty is probably about right. I mean few people even have a promissory note at this point, and that's just to accept the quest.
Bad drop rate? Really?
My group currently has 7 with with Soiled Promissory Notes, with more only missing a seal or two.
These are not NOT meant for everyone to have.
If you can't put in the time you don't deserve the best in the game.
Thank you.

Yeah i had a relic Shield in XI and it wasn't random obtaining one. Getting the notes/NM drops from secret bosses in dyna all took skill, even tho how many notes you got per run was random but you knew each run you was gonna get closer and closer.Yep, relics in XI were pretty much the status symbol. To even have one weapon was a big achievement.

When people allow us dragoons to enter hamlet, I'll be content :P
