Kind of amusing to see a perspective on the game from someone completely unfamiliar with FFXIV and its history. Definitely looking forward to people who have the context to compare 2.0 and tell us what we're interested in, though. Nice to see that writeups are starting to go up though, hopefully we'll see some good stuff soon.
7UP!

"The story of Final Fantasy XIV revolves around the city of Aorzia, which is being invaded by the empire to the north."A write up of the demo shown today, nothing super interesting but it's something!

The guy obviously hasn't played XIV at all so it's not very helpful for people like myself, who are more interested in flow of combat, but he did do a nice bit about Yoshi wanting to take all sorts of players, especially western ones, into account when designing content. And he did talk about raising chocobos to take over several roles, mage/item storage being the examples mentioned.
that made me laugh hard, i guess the dog ate his homework lol ^~^

I had that impression, or maybe it's a new city. Almost certainly the first thou
this shot not only shows the ""CP"", but also tells us that The Howling Eye will still be there in too, so I guess Garuda too ^^

Or perhaps the return of your path companion?Ya, it's possible that the "guest" characters we can have will take on different roles so they are easier to setup. I mean it's already done in 14 with those companions we have in the main story, they are the class we pick and have access to all of those class abilities. So perhaps others are thinking to much into it and Lulu is actually one of the players fellowship companions from the story that they are able to use in the open field. Wait maybe that's what C stands for "Companion" lol
Si lol
Arizona, I think they're hinting that Dalamud is actually Arizona and Eorzea become influenced by Arizona but rather then call themselves Arizona they decide to combine the name into Aorzia and ditch the n since it still kinda sounds like Eorzea.
I kid of course lol. Though I wonder where they got that spelling from it's that how it sounds when said A-or-Z-a.
Well on mmorpg someone mentions that the way it's spelled in japanese makes it sound like "AY-OH-RU-ZAY-AH." So if the reader only heard it, it is natural that that's how they would spell it since Eorzea sounds more like Eh-or-zee-ah. Aoruzaah, think that's how I would spell it if I heard it in japanese lol.
