Yeah what the others have said, and it helps to keep in mind, too, that if someone is acting out irrationally towards you over something small, it's probably not you they're actually mad at but something else going on in their life. You also are not obligated to take abuse from anyone, so if someone is trying to insult you, or deride you for not wanting to do an event, just stay calm yourself, and if all else fails blacklist.

If someone walked up to you and tried to hand you a live grenade, you probably wouldn't just open your hand out to accept. Likewise, you don't have to accept any fights some may try to pick online or the insults they throw at you. Just leave the grenade in their hands and walk away.

I deal with so much drama its ridiculous..but what I do is I just ignore it. 100% ignore it, black list them..forget them, pretend they don't exist and give them NO ATTENTION lol because that is all they want...attention and for you to acknowledge their existence...hehe it works, I promise!

I cry about it on forums.

Actually, I don't get involved in internet drama. I play these games to have fun, so I avoid this stuff like the plague.

I joked around and said stuff like "are you on drugs lol? that's not what I said"

Well...somehow he got incredibly pissed at me, thought I was being annoying, and started cussing me out...=( (At this point I was wondering if there was a language barrier I wasn't aware of...had plenty of conversations just fine with him before).

    2) In a LS (only 8 people in it) and the leader says "hey come do hamlet we are all here cmon!" and I explained I wasn't doing that atm. Well she starts getting mad saying it's a strict event LS and I apologize for inconvenience and retire the LS saying it's not what I meant to sign up for.

I /tell the LS leader again apologizing about the misunderstanding and she proceeds to act snide and cuss at me about being a flake out and such. Her frustration is understandable but she continued to be bitter after I apologized multiple times and remained calm...

For those of you who have read this far I just got to ask: how do you deal with this stuff?

I had NO intentions of pissing these people off and I really enjoyed talking to them and being friends, but through some stupid situation they've socially exiled me.

I feel like a complete ass but at the same time I don't feel like I did something to deserve these sort of conflicts..

TlDr; I've been getting in conflicts with people lately and I don't want to lose them as friends...what do I do?
people that want to cause drama are not worth my time, I play for fun you should to so ignore and move on.

That LS leader sounds like a douche and I think you dodged a bullet there. There are some linkshells that are heavy on mandatory events and that's cool -- If that's what the members want. You shouldn't ever cuss out people like that and call them flakes, especially if they're new to the group.

It sounds like you've just been unlucky bumping into these kinds of people><. . . As for how I deal with it, usually I just blacklist them and move on. I won't suffer idiots and rudeness and I'll certainly not stand for being cussed out by some egotistical fool.
You'll enjoy the game a lot more if you ignore these folks and find your happiness with like-minded people!

    Chin up, Ventus!

Agree with the rest. Although I won't Blist a friend but let them get it all out lol. Just don't respond and let them come to you when they are ready. Of course this also depends on what, to you, is worth not keeping that freind.

For people that aren't someone you consider a friend Blist is great!

I'm not gonna read that Ventus. Drama in or outside of game is pointless... Just blacklist if you have issues with someone, and focus on your own goals and dreams, and enjoy them with your friends.

    1) You're under the mistaken impression that those ppl are your friends

    2) Ppl that start online drama are not worth talking to

    3) You just have to not give a damn.

Seriously i kick all drama starters out of my ingame life. I don't play a game to argue with whiny biotches. I play a game to have fun. Interrupt my fun, and I will drop kick you out of my personal interwebz bubble.

EDIT: RL friends > Online "friends". Really the online ones are entirely expendable when they start acting up. Don't need em lol!

To be honest, it seems to me like you are just a nice guy having to deal with assholes, but that's something a lot of us just have have to deal with in a game like this.
