Sweet, you should make your own thread.
Honestly though, do you guys have shout wars in Uldah, then?

This game is not WoW; if you want WoW, go play WoW. If you get butthurt when people mention Final Fantasy XI, then shut up about WoW.As much as it might hurt you, and as much as someone else brings the balance issues up, FFXI had the jobs right. And, you know, this is a FF, and I don't see you guys complaining about people asking for WoW things. So please.
Also, it's not like this dev team is being true to the roots of the jobs anyway.

TheVedis, yes you may be more articulate, but filling up this topic after Onidemon says something is pointless. He doesn't accept defeat. He's stuck in his life of no trailers = SE sucks. So let him post. See how many people listen. I have nothing against you or Starlord, but seeing this topic still up and about after 75 pages is ridiculous. I am guilty of that same problem by posting this, but for ****'s sake, lets complain about me being a hypocrite in another topic.
I just feel like this thread has gone on more than long enough. E3 has started - we have E3 topics up already. There's no trailer, OMFG, now just take it like a human being and go! Beating this topic beyond oblivion is useless. We have expressed our disappointment, we have expressed our rage, we have expressed our deepening disgust and hatred of SE. Now can we move onto the actual E3 instead of remaining in this delusional state of chaos this thread has descended into? It's past its expiry date; it probably expired as soon as Onidemon went all butt-hurt and negative.
Request for a dev to lock this topic. Dead horse is soon to be grounded into dust and fluff.

I don't know if anyone noticed this

Anyways...just further confirms my initial thoughts that they wanted to make an amazing video but then realized after completing it that it would spoil the current 7th umbral storyline if they released too soon.
And it's good marketing that they releasing it all in one grand chunk rather then multiple bits...which lose their punch overtime. You all can gripe about them not releasing it...but I think if they did they would be terribly not smart...since then people would expect another and another trailer...in time for 2.0 launch.
Releasing things early these days is a means for a marketing disaster...

I honestly didn't have any expectations at all...apart from just the Legacy logo to at least drum up some interest, business and revenue.
This is why we have E3, so games can be given media coverage, not to wait for game designing companies to make their own decision to not debut it and then have to do all the marketing (which we know will now be 0% chance) to resell 2.0 - missed opportunity. :-(
Even our local news here in Australia is massively timelining E3 events to the minute, to not see Final Fantasy in there at all gives me a sense that while SE might have the content available internally and have a valid reason to delay releasing information - who is going to know about Final Fantasy XIV Version 2.0 when it comes out? I really have an expectation now that SE should invest in their biggest marketing campaign since XIII/-2 otherwise the 2.0 project isn't going to take off.
And we get total lame ass excuses like "we don't want to dribble leak the information" - how else are people going to know about this product if marketing opportunities like E3 are totally abandoned? I want some f**king locals in Australia to battle with GRRR! But how are SE going to market this game to MY PEOPLE? My guessing they won't and this game will still be full of fail.[/butthurt]
Edit: I also half-blame forum people who constantly whinge request updates and features to happen instantly in patches...diverting SE away from 2.0 work.

there two team one for 1.0 version and 2.0 version anything people request for 1.0 is worked by the first team anything people request for 2.0 it would be work by the second team.I honestly didn't have any expectations at all...apart from just the Legacy logo to at least drum up some interest, business and revenue.
