I was only interested in a few of the games they showed, but I figured that would be the case. What I expected out of Microsoft--and what they delivered on--was spectacle. I'm not really into Dance Central, for example, but I enjoyed watching Usher's performance.
If I could wave a magic wand and make whatever I want come true, I'd have Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo all demo ground-breaking RPGs. I'd have a bunch of Japanese gaming companies showing amazing new software, heralding a resurgence in Japanese development. Meanwhile, Japanese gamers would magically realize all of the great western games they've been missing out on--stuff like Portal and Mass Effect. Everyone, including non-gamers, would suddenly understand what's great about Final Fantasy.
Oh......and world peace.
