How much longer for Seventh Umbral Era content?

Yeah, I just wish the devs would come out and put an end date on the content so we can know and not be surprised. Telling us "Do it soon!" is very inspecific.

When the planet-satellite collides with our world, the war will end and chaos will reign... That happens at the start of 2.0 in January 2013.

Technically, we're now in the 7th Umbral and I think we'll be in the 8th Astral (or 7th Astral? Some lore nerd can say whether Umbrals or Astrals get the first number) once 2.0 rolls around. But no details of this have been confirmed yet. We have no idea how far off into the future 2.0 will be compared to our current version.

We're about on the threshold of the Seventh Umbral Era. Urianger brought prophecies of it, and not all that much has changed since then. For argument's sake, it's "underway" but I'm not sure if it's truly, officially begun until Dalamud hits.

As far as the eras, I don't think you'll be seeing the 7th Astral. Each era lasts over 1,500 years. I expect pretty much the entire game will be engulfed in an umbral era, and more power to it. We've been living in an Astral for 2 years and it's been boring as hell.
