This!! This is exactly why I quit FFXI...I got bored with reskinned zones and no real expansions I hope FFXIV has lots of expansions. ^^ Whenever an expansion is released too I noticed a loooot of my friends coming back to check it out (And most of them stayed for a long , long time)

I can second this, the moment XI started dropping off with expansions was when I lost interest. the WoTG and mini-expansions were a huge disappointment, because there was really nothing new

Doesn't it start on the 5th? Soo 3 days? and Since it was a big issue for the community as a whole they would have said something. E3 is just old info correct?

thats when i consider it to begin as do most

what they say for sure is going to be announcing 2.0 to the world as a whole, there will be more beyond that, we just dont know what it will be as of yet

and lets be honest, thats what they really need to do, get word of the games reworking out there for people NOT playing the game, those of us playing, are seeing everything as it happens and dont need to hear their marking to the world of people who dont play "yet"

but again, we will find out this week, when they do their thing, no need to rush them to tell us a day or 2 early just because we are on here, let them get it out when its out(if you cant wait a few days you got issues)

The statement referred to why things are excluded from E3 not about the rehashed information to gain new or previous players. Anyone playing or not can see the changes through the forums and lodestone. Hell look at the focus of their line up it doesn't look like XIV is even a priority so it will be interesting to see what "new players" will even get exposed to at E3. BUT AGAIN... I was referring why they made the decision to exclude elements from their presentation.
