Transferring Characters Between Accounts

I read somewhere that the devs plan to make storage retainers on a single account accessable by all characters on that account. This means you could basicaly have mules with inventory space that can access your main characters retainer which would make it easy to store and transfer items between mules and main character.

Added the fact that we will be getting a new subscription plan for 2.0 and the legacy discount and that we can choose to pay a fixed price for one account with as many characters as we want (up to the accounts character limit which is 8 i think).

Many of us have mules on a seperate account for storing items and teleporting but even that is no longer needed with the massive amounts of anima you can get from hamlet defence.

So my question is in the future will there be the option of being able to transfer a character/s from one account to another account?

I played EVE online for a while and they have the option to do this.

No. and I hope it never happens. Being able to trade game time and characters and such is one of the reasons (among many) I won't play EVE.

Characters are online personas, not commodities.

Just trade your items between the accounts.
And where said SE that we have only 1 retainer for the whole account after 2.0? 1 retainer for each world would be more logical.

I could be wrong, but I think it is per world (which would be pretty darn awesomes!)

If anyone can fish up the dev comment from eons ago about retainers in 2.0 I would be much appreciative!

No because then people can level up chars put it on other account and sell it for profit right now ffxiv char not going for much but i bet 1-2years from now you can easy make pretty good profit. SO that why it's not allow in FFXI or in big mmo

Yeah obviously its gonna be multiple retainers per world, shared between characters on your account in that world.

My mules are dressed up in event items I cant trade those. I would rather just transfer my mules from that account to my main characters account and delete the mule account.

Will have to just trade the items over only if I have to, but would rather just move the characters across.

I know it could cause problems with RMT if they allowed this feature so they probably wont add it anyway.

But guys do please try to think what you are saying. Remember Not adding features to this game because of RMT is precisely why the game got in such a mess in the first place because of Tanakas obsession with it. It will have taken over 2 years to have fixed the game (server structure/game client/etc) by the time 2.0 is out.
