It still amazes me how different the trailer is from the actual game, even if it's CGI. Look at the Morbol battle. The bubble spell, how blizzard actually freezes the mob, the way the GLA heals the MRD and then the enfire on the arrow at the end. It's like it's a completely different game. Here's a trailer for the game I'm still waiting for http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G3YUHbHL5w

Not really if you think about it(well, in my opinion anyway). It's a pretty nice-looking prelude to things that are supposed to be major points in the game, like levequests as a gameplay mechanic, and then the battle of Silvertear where Garlemaid got its proverbial ass handed to itself by the dragons and Shniryuu(Bahamut? Random dragon?) opening up the aether for the Primals(or archons? whatever?) into the realm some 15 or so years before the present time.It still amazes me how different the trailer is from the actual game, even if it's CGI. I won't lie though that the original trailer and opening CG had me thinking that we were gonna see some stuff like magic barriers and dual techniques like that flame arrow. Maybe we'll get to see them with Arcanist and other classes/jobs? I dunno.
Although it WOULD be interesting(and possible I think) if the devs actually did give Blizzard the ability to freeze(and thus paralyze) enemies and add some kind of frozen graphic on the mob. Hell, they should add other indicators like that as well for other enfeebles like blind! Bring back the Blind sunglasses!
...OK I'm done sidebarring the discussion...

I too want blizzard to freeze mobs. Would give us new battle strategies.

The dragon is midgardsomir, or however its spelt...npc in uldah (Erik) tells you.

Honestly if SE had something good planned for E3, a rep would have already answered this thread saying that even if they cancelled their trailer they still have plenty of info planned and surprises etc....
The fact that they let the thread go all crazy till now means they got nothing.
Read my sig, its implanted till E3 :P.Honestly if SE had something good planned for E3, a rep would have already answered this thread saying that even if they cancelled their trailer they still have plenty of info planned and surprises etc....

Or it could be the fact that the community reps are shared by both the xi and xiv forums. To me it seems like a majority of the team is busy with vanafest, or have you not noticed that almost all of the translations have been handled by Rukkirii.Honestly if SE had something good planned for E3, a rep would have already answered this thread saying that even if they cancelled their trailer they still have plenty of info planned and surprises etc....

Yoshi promised the following letter early next week. Maybe we will see something by then, poll results and maybe something they are holding back right now? I hope so.
