    Hrm... Don't you have to actually use the ward on your opponent? Juuuust making a guess, i've not started my quest in Gridania but in Ul'Dah but in a similar mission I had to use the key item given to me on the enemy, why not give it a try?

    When you try to use the Ward on the NPCs like the quests says it gives you the you cant use that now message, and using it on the mob does nothing
