Multiple Mobs and AOE's

In ffxi if you stood around and hacked the mob you'd wipe >.>(talking about hnm, not regular mobs lol) everyone would have to time their abilities, skillchain, watch hate, buff/debuff, refresh etc.

Its aura pulse and compared to other dd aoe it is pretty lacking.

..for real ? I don't know abyssea, but old ffxi had very few encounters where dd would move something different from rear/side, and mostly in fight where kite was strategy.
Personally i see your point, but there's nothing wrong in add management in a boss fight. Just look every mmo in the planet aside ffxi and you'll see plenty of fights with adds.

Oh yes most of them remained in a somewhat fixed position haha but what I meant was if they just auto attacked and afk'ed people would wipe >< FFXI bosses could not be defeated by simply standing there auto attacking and doing nothing else. Because he said "Stand in one spot and hack away" idk if I misunderstood lol.

There was a couple fights in XI that had adds..Vrtra I remember...but that was fun. You had to have entire party/alliance dedicated to adds. That was actually challenging vs what FFXIV has... ._.
