No trailer at E3 LOL @ SE

I don't understand the 'gimme gimme" I'm entitled attitude these days...what's wrong with people?

When it's someone else's creation we aren't entitled to anything...yes perhaps they should do this or that, but that's their choice. The fact that we get anything at all is appreciative. One should be so kind as thank them when they do.

Marketing wise SE isn't stupid and anyone that knows any bit about marketing is you don't just randomly throw out small bits when you want to excite and make something big...you throw it out in a huge glob when it's prime time to get the full spreads on magazine covers and websites when you do your marketing blitz. E3 has a lot of pending "good" stuff when that cools down then hit em...

The anticipation is killing me but I'm patient to wait...can we all learn a bit of PATIENCE?

yes there is the gimme attitude. but E3 is one of the biggest video game events in history. If you want your game to be known you do it there. You cant say SE hasnt had plenty of time to to make SOMETHING to show. Sure WE know that yoshi has stuff up his sleeve but do the ppl who dont play? most likely not. and not presenting atleast something at E3 will make ppl think SE hasnt done anything or have nothing. Cause a simple hey to your friend "Hey you should try 14 again its alot better than it was released" wont get some ppl to come back or try the game that they heard epic failed.

E3 has become a vendor event and not a fan service event...the press hates FFXIV what makes you think they'll devote time to it...

While E3 is big...it's not really substantive to games...there's too much press about too many things...and peeps are there to see SPECIFIC things...and websites don't devote full pages to cover games...you lucky if you get 1/2 a page these days...and it seems many sites unless they have some profit in their pockets don't like to devote spreads to some games.

I also don't think there's anything to do "DAMAGE CONTROL" on. Again, these forums and many forums, I've managed a few I know...all peeps do is whine whine whine when they don't get what they want. And when they do get it...they'll find something new to whine about. Harsh as I might sound...PEOPLE NEED A LIFE...a real one...outside of the game. Too many these days live in game...missing out on the real life...just saying...you all know it's true...especially if you disagree with me...which I'm sure someone will come along and tell me to shut up or something. Denial makes it easier then to see the truth of the matter.

People that plays will still plays, people that doens't play will not care. There is nothing to "damage control", there is no loss of "current customer", if people quits FFXIV bc they do not get trailer, they need their heads checked.

The only one that maybe should be pissed is the presses team that already booked hotels and everything from days ahead, i can understand if they are dissapointed, but i believe Yoshi still have infos for them, we will see at E3.

Implying any media would only go to E3 for XIV, you can't be serious there. No one cares, even the press.

For those of you still whining about the trailer not coming to E3 (I was sad about it too, but damn!) Think about it....whether or not the trailer came to E3 isn't a deciding factor on how soon the game will get here. We're all going to have to wait just as long no matter if it's shown or not. The information and trailer's still coming. It's just a little closer to the game's launch (Well...ps3 beta launch anyway)

I don't think folks are sad they cant see it now...its more so that they are sad SE will be missing out on the nice marketing that can come from e3. I could care less if I see this trailer now or later tbh either way we will see it eventually and 2.0 will be here before we know it.

Exactly, I'm disappointed with the decision not because I myself don't get to see the trailer (if it really is just CGI I can wait, I don't care much for that) but the fact that many of us believe it's a big mistake to not start hyping the game at the biggest event in the industry.

I hope a localisation team member can clear up the mess as it's still unclear from the letter if marketing truly does start in august or during the show.
