If you look closer... those are the primals leaving not the traditional mobs, you can see Ifrit, Garuda and Titan

I know... but as many shooting lights as you saw coming from a massive explosion...

What is a Primal? Primal isn't synonymous with beast tribe or elemental god...
Primal could encompass all planetary weapons...
My point is, with dozens... Possibly hundreds of big bad ass monsters released in the cutscene... there is only so much Shiva and Titan to go around.
We only got close enough to see 2 of them... but there is no reason not to believe that the other ones included the other primals PLUS all manner of living biological weapons and super mean bosses
