    Back down? I never used acc gear and with stuffed cabbage was 97+% ^-^. And I'll stick with stat caps until they adjust the base crit rate for Dragoon. Initial descriptions of the job led me to believe we were going to be a crit DD, whereas WAR was pure DD and MNK was elemental DD...as of yesterday, the crit rate is not incredibly different across jobs. DRG is definitely a little higher, but not enough to warrant me pumping Crit Attack or Crit Rate. o.o

    I keep getting into and argument with one of my event leaders about the orientation of Dragoon as a class.

    He insists that it's spike damage due to it's favoring of Crit.

    I keep telling him it's closer to a volatile DPS, and that his Spike/Burst definition is closer suiting to Black Mage, who deals no consistent damage (auto attack) but rather relies on burst waves that can spike due to Combo requirements.

    He's insistent that he's right, but I feel the lines here are a bit to muddled for it to be so clear-cut. He also hates Dragoon so it dampers my weight in his opinions.

    Right now its kinda just DD, there isn't necessarily any specialized DD at this point. The exception being, I think, Monk with it's fists.

    So I've been messing around gear set ups in mooglebox and I'm mulling over the Serpent's Sergeant's set pieces. Noticing that a couple of them seem to be fairly decent.

    The problem is, to get the set effect, which would make them better than decent, I need 3 pieces. And I simply can't find a good set of 3. Which leads me to a dumb question. Does it take 3 pieces with set bonuses or just 3 pieces listed "Serpent Sergent's" to activate the effect? Wanting to know before I start dumping any hard earned seals into this.

    I think it's just three set pieces. I'm having the same problem though ;;

    I was thinking Choker, Tabard, and Spear, but I just got a double-meld body a couple weeks ago >< and I like my STR rings or I'd do the HP ring. I guess you could do the earring, since explorer's is only 5 attack power anyway...

    Edit: But does the spear count as "gear"?

    Flame sergeant's sash counts as a piece towards the set. And let's face it a little more accuracy never hurt a DRG before
