    didn't even kill him 70 times and i am 5/7 with 1 token short of a 6th, same goes for most people of my group.

    it must be the same thing i had with shikigami weapon in XI, i killed that damn thing 38 times and nothing dropped even thou the droprate was 30%, sometimes you just have bad luck

    what would you do otherwise than a percent based system, one weapon a run you can choose? then the fight would get obsolete in hours for the majority of the playerbase, or they have to make it very hard and players get scared (which seems to be the case with garuda lol)

    I happened to be in a shell on XI that camped Shiki at every single spawn, appropriately named "ShikigamiWeapon". I personally had never seen the robe not drop more than like twice in a row, and usually it was Drop >>> no drop >>> drop >>> rinse & repeat. The drop rate for the robe was pretty decent, but the respawn (like most nms in that game) was absolutely sheer ridiculousness.

    As for the drop system in this game, I've already given my opinion on what could be done so for the sake of brevity I'll sum it up. Tokens, higher drops in dungeons with increased cooldown (say an hour or so instead of 10 or 15 minutes, guaranteed "lesser drops" that are at least somewhat decent, or some kind of guaranteed reward system for the work you put in between "rare drops". 3,000~ Gil and a couple pieces of dark matter are not a reward, they're a slap in the face.
