Aren't holiday quests a waste of development time and effort right now?

Holy **** I just read over some of the last few pages and what a total mess of fail. You guys are seriously idiots if you think the developers took away any attention from the core fixes in this game to come up with some holiday event. It only takes a very small number of people to work on the holiday events. They really aren't that complicated to demand the attention of the 100 devs let alone even 5. They are split into groups anyway determined by the type of content they develop, whether it's UI, battle system, endgame, etc. so the devs working on the fixes/content didn't just stop what they were doing to work on some dumb holiday event.

Also, you guys act like any major thing in this game should be fixed in the 3 months since Yoshi-P took over when they have to 1. Come up with all the details of everything they are changing 2. Coordinate with the other dev groups to make sure it's compatible with their ideas 3. Hash out every last detail (yeah, that takes a lot of time) 4. Code it 5. Test it 6. Re-balance and de-bug 7. Test again 8. continue #5 and #6 until it's ready.

And in the middle of all that, they have to work with the community doing interviews every so often, listening to the retarded ideas from half of the posts on this forum, and implement the crap in between that technically could wait but everyone keeps complaining about it too much to put off. They aren't just dicking around in an office. It takes a lot of work to develop a good multi-million dollar MMO, if that wasn't already evident by the fact that the vast majority of MMO's lose over half their player base in the first 3 months, or just fall apart all together.

I swear, you guys are like a bunch of kids in a toy store yelling I WANT MY TOY NOW when your mommy hasn't even gone through the register yet.

I am glad we got people like you, seriously. I tried to explain this kind of stuff in so many different topics, but its no go man. They do not want to understand it or maybe they simply don't have to capacity to understand. I don't know.
