I'm frustrated by player misconduct...

Akume he kinda did ask for it. He was bugging the guy begging and pleading him (admitedly "till he said yes") its not being a jerk. Its just shutting ppl up. OP obviousely didn't take no for an answer and didn't want to be a jerk and yell at him or blist him.

I see it all the time where I work. Kids want candy beg parent for it. Parents keep saying no. Thenj finally say yes but then say oh... I don't have any money. (which they do). PPl will do anything to stop a person from being annoying.

I wouldn't really call this misconduct. Seems to me it came down to someone being nice and giving you what you wanted. If he won the shield then there is nothing stating a player has to be nice just because he can't use an item. Also, he could have had a friend or Ls mate that was a GLA and decided to give it to them.

I can understand your frustration because of this though. The guy was a jerk in the end and should have just said no instead of leading you to believe in a false trade agreement..

I agree with this. It was his item, he won it fairly, and has the right to do what he pleases with it.
If I were in his place I may have kept the item too. Especially if someone was begging for it for 30 minutes.
But yeah it was rude of him to mislead you in the end, (unless he did just disconnect.)

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Just had to see what you all thought of the situation and I see what you mean about it being rightfully his. To me, I was having such difficulty dealing with it because personally if there was some sort of epic conjurer piece that dropped on his faction leve and i got it, it would be a no brainer for me to give it to him. Feels like common decency to do so. I realize he has the capacity to be a gladiator one day that can use a vintage kite shield, but given the difference in rank it just made sense to me the way I was thinking about it. Just last thing I want to say is that I wasn't being annoying to him despite that I used the word "pleading", we just talked about how to deal with it since I really wanted the shield.

Or you can buy a vintage one for about the same price on most servers as the scarred kite shield.

I'm not a mean person, but I woulda done the same thing. I dislike annoying ppl. I much rather say yes then run. Then be forced to black list someone. So again is logging out wasn't rude. Its a comman tactic ppl use.

to OP begging is begging no matter how well you talk. common curtosy would have been you offering to buy it off him if he didn't need it.

Vintage Kite Shield isn't even the best GLA shield from what I've heard. Plus that shield is so common as faction leve reward you're almost certain to get another soon. I have 3 of them and I've been too lazy to get them made to sell.

Yea I wish they could fix that. Would probably be hard so it couldn't be exploited though. Then again maybe i'm looking for the answer at the wrong angle.
