No. The story is not bad. It's not as good as the other expansions but it's still enjoyable.

Maybe for you? Okay, but not for me. There is nothing that would compel me to go to any location in *Dawntrail* and have fun there. I don’t even go there for materials, treasure maps, or the few world bosses. Not even a FATE could get me to go there. I don’t play the Trials, Raids, or Dungeons. I simply pretend the whole thing was just a fever dream and never happened. No matter how often someone claims the expansion was good or entertaining, it just dragged on endlessly. I had to take week long breaks from the main story; it took me four months to finish it. Wuk Lamat is the worst character SE has ever created—Zenos was never as idiotic as Wuk Lamat, and he certainly wouldn’t have jumped into the fight against Sphene at the last second just to steal the kill and act as if he’d made some huge sacrifice. If this expansion was so great, then where did 70% of the players go?

Any time I get an alt through it feels like Endwalker and Dawntrail together is the same length as ARR, HW, SB and ShB combined.
