think they adding that around 2.0 and you can set at what % you want people to repair your gear at.Add a Request option for any item to be that appears below 10% to be repaired. I am getting tired of players repairing my gear at 80% or even 99% at my own cost and Dark Matter.
This really needs to be put in. Its a really big hassle to remove my gear and even watch it and make sure I requesting repairs without wasting dark matter.
I'm not burning like 3000gil per 5dark matter cus players want toget 500gil and waste my dark matter on unneeded repairs.

The NPC repair prices should be based on how damaged the item is, rather than being a flat rate regardless if the item is at 0% or 99%. We should be able to "top off" our durability when we're near a repair NPC (like many other MMOs) rather than having to wait until our gear gets damaged as much as possible to get our money's worth.
Or...you could just NOT put your gear up for repair request until it's 10% or under...
But I guess that's too much sense for xiv? >_>
Why not just unequip the gear that you don't want repaired before you put your flag up? Only takes a second.
That's not to say that I support the current system though. I agree that the repair request system's kind of clunky because you have to flag all or nothing. I have to ask though, is adding a maximum durability percentage as a requirement for gear to be included in a repair request really the answer? I can see it now...
Player one: "Sorry guys, I know we're probably going to be dying a lot to Garuda when the shell gets together in thirty minutes, but I'm gonna need to stop us so I can get repairs after our first wipe. I'd repair everything to full before we start, but some of my gear's not damaged enough to be included in my repair request right now."
Player two: "No problem, man. I'm gonna have to stop everyone for the same thing after our second wipe, so I understand."
If the problem is that you don't always want everything flagged for repair but you're being forced by an all or nothing system, then wouldn't the more logical solution be to set it up so you can... oh, Idunno... flag each gear slot for repairs individually instead? Why that wasn't the original plan for repairs, I'll never know.

You don't do much endgame content do you? Ifrit/moogle have supplied me with more Dark matter than I can handle. let's not even get started with Darkhold/cutters/vale chests...
SE hands out Gr.5 darkmatter with more gusto than Santa hands out coal.

Missing the point. I want them to add this cus I don't want to unequip my gear and that EG content only good if you win them. Im not in the mood to spam darkhold over and over just for lv5 DM. That and ifrit. Im asking for game improvments and your requesting me to learn to play. I'm well aware how to play this game.
This really just sounds like a First world problem in FFXIV.
You stated that Gr.5 Darkmatter was somehow a issue for people lacking a rank 40+ DoL and I told you differently.
If it's really that much of a hassle and cost, there are tons of ways you can save money like putting your gear up for repairs all old-school. Be lucky were not back in my day where you had to take your gear off to get it repaired!

Don't know if you missed my other post but you can get G5 DM from anywhere and 500 seals can get about 80 pieces of it.Missing the point.
