afaik they gave the greenlight on reshade so DLSS 5 should be fine since its just a feature of nvidia cards

Reshade is a third-party program that interacts with the game client. The ToS is broad, and SE can ban people for it if they want to, but they could just as easily ban people for Discord's integration tools or for fiddling with things via their GPU's software.

I mean, even the graphic card driver is a third party program that interacts with the game client, so if that's how the tos defines unauthorized stuff it seems a little too broad.

The ToS is easily read. It's not so broad as to define interacting with an OS as prohibited. People who bring up Discord and GPU drivers are not discussing this seriously.

I wish it were, but if we're being honest, DLSS3 and 4 aren't (in fact they were proudly added not tooooo long ago), and hence 5 can't be either. But I wish it were, it looks so... no, not going to write that out. But I think pre-DT characters look significantly better as at least they had artistic integrity.
