I hope AF weapons are really hard to obtain and are better than Garuda weapons but I'm not holding my breath. It's kind of weird that the entire playerbase got free top end weapons.

AF tends to boost abilities of classes and not for pure dps or watsoever.
If u feel that this particular ability of ur class is badly needed.. u will have to use that piece of AF instead of those melded gears or weapons ....
Im sorry there is no excuse what-so-ever for this. The bottom line is the testers did not do there jobs properly. Now the devs, yoshi and the players can make all the excuses they want but in the end SE testers did a piss poor job. If players want to blm burn thats fine I personaly dont care, if they want to do it the way the devs planned it I dont care. The fact is if this bug was that important to fix they would have restricted garuda access when they found out about the bug. Again dont make EXCUSSES for this, because there is no EXCUSS in the world for this kind of bug!In all fairness to the XIV team they have most of their resources working on 2.0. The QA probably isn't nearly as thorough because its temporary content. I dont even think these primal battles will make it into 2.0 at all, at least not in their current form. Its also why server instability has been so difficult to fix over this last patch, they are working with split resources, and obviously XIV is going to draw the short stick. When you have deadlines to meet on *both* ends of the floor, it can be really hard to push out non-buggy content. Ppl want 2.0 on time, that means XIV has to proceed more or less on time. Its a nightmare of a situation SE put themselves in, all for delivering players an MMO that meets expectations.
As far as XI goes, I have no idea why that was so bad. Then again, you had an MMORPG noob designing it. That might have been the problem.
What would that accomplish? Seriously those players just wont do the content again and when those players that want to do garuda they will find it hard to find any1 that wants to do that primal. Also do you realize that if they do a roll back lmao you will lose anything you have accomplised in the process? So I am glad you love redoing something you have already done over again wheather it be 1 day 2 days or a weeks worth of work, because I sure a hell dont.
so your answer is to make EXCUSSES [sic] for the exploiters? roger.Im sorry there is no excuse what-so-ever for this. The bottom line is the testers did not do there jobs properly. i'm also guessing you got your win through exploiting. and i bet you have no evidence of you beating it legitimately. in fact, i'll put 20 million gil on it.
I am seriously thinking you are one of those people that were in on the BLM burn parties and just don't want to fight garuda again to get your weapons...fighting a boss should not be so easy as having 5 BLM burning down the boss in under 4 minutes and getting those weapons. People that have abused this bug should have their garuda items being wiped. Tough luck you abused a bug and you shouldn't be rewarded with the items. What would that accomplish? Seriously those players just wont do the content again and when those players that want to do garuda they will find it hard to find any1 that wants to do that primal. You talk as if they wanted to wipe the garuda items off your inventory they would have to ROLL BACK the character but they can easily just make a list however big it is with garuda kills under 4-5 mins and wipe those items out of the players inventory.
Im sorry but people should stop abusing bugs to try and get ahead. When i look at certain LS on my server with garuda sets all i can do is puke a little in my mouth because i know they did not deserve those items they abused a bug and should be punished for it.
It isnt about the garuda bug being fixed WE KNOW its fixed what people are mad about are the people with garuda weapons THAT ABUSED THE BUG. Which i think is valid to complain about.
HI RAU! ;D
i just think it's funny how it's a repeat of moogle. people do it legit, other people cry about it being too hard (and even 'impossible). someone finds a bug. they exploit it for easy kills. they share their 'strategy' with others. people who can't beat it legit use the strat exploiting the bug for easy wins. they defend it staunchly, blaming devs.
"it's not MY FAULT i stole from the store. they didn't have surveillance and the door was wide open!"
k, sure, cool. but you still stole. did the store screw up? yeah. but the store clearly isn't designed to be stolen from. so, why try to validate it? guilty conscience? cool, got it.
so then they rabble rabble reer reer up and down about how they're not exploiting (because they know it's a bad word), usually leaning on the "if it was an exploit it would get fixed" argument.
and then the hotfixes come.
and then the argument shifts to "well if it was an exploit, they'd have fixed it SOONER"... which is pure lol (golden week. hello?) also cue deflection/projection from guilty parties trying to find a way to classify non-exploiters as exploiters as well.
then the encounter is hotfixed, the exploit is gone, the easy strat is rendered ineffectual- and suddenly the guilty parties fall silent as they struggle to wade through the encounter as it was designed to be experienced. but they don't want people to know they can't beat it normally, so they don't QQ in the forums about the newfound difficulty. and so we don't hear from them ever again...
...until the next time it happens. then the cycle repeats.
weird.
