The issue here is the skill cooldown reset. It's often the case where you have just wiped and have 5 minutes till next instance entry, but if you will change to DoH for repairs, you will reset your 5-15min skills and in some cases force others to wait for your cooldowns (or will be forced to go and pay 5k/item to npc even if you have all crafts lvled) Also its weird how someone else can "Repair All" your gear and you can only repair single pieces of your own gear, don't you think?

^There is a trick to this: start a guild leve or faction at the nearest aetheryte and then abandon it. skills reset.

its repairs not Garuda, jeeze a little more convenience and more people might be willing to repair items which means more player interaction which is better for the community.

an unintended effect from a flawed mechanic... abuse of such might deem it as an exploit and its hardly an option when you are doing something other than leves which is probably the most unused part of the game.

Did you even read the thread ?

That just stupid, why would I waste a perfectly good leve to correct a flaw in the repair mechanics.

The length people will go to, to justify broken game elements is mind blowing.

OK EVERYONE - before you do garuda make sure you have a faction leve at the ready just in case. /sigh

or some kind of repair menu so I can choose everything I need to repair without me searching through my menu trying to find or remember what the heck needed repair.

I am thinking a repair tab anything 30% or lower shows up in this tab. Weapons, gear, etc of course organized in categories would be nice. Weapons, armor, accessories.
And you can choose to repair all. Or click on each piece. Once repaired they don't show up on the repair tab. Even have this linked to seek repair.

This reminds me that in the most recent player poll there was a question asking how we feel about allowing any crafter to make repairs on an item. To that, I would have to say no because it sort of devalues the time spent leveling certain crafts. But, as long as the person has leveled a class to the appropriate level, I say allow them to make the repairs without needing to change classes just to do it. Materia slotting should work like this, too.

I have. If you have also you would know that earlier before my post suggest removing repairs all together. My point was more of a reply to that person more than a reply to everyone.

leave repairing as it is. Really if you need to repair ur gear do it after the party is over or take a break. Also if you need to repair gear that much, it would seem that the party or whatever you are doing needs to be more careful. I can understand the cool downs but you really need not be changing class or job or what not while you are waiting for respawns.
