Check Market Ward prices while speaking with your Retainer

Since the game requires you to sell via retainer, it's rather annoying that I need to physically write down the prices of everything I want to sell and then sell via my retainer. It gets even worse if I overlook something and have to cancel my meeting with the retainer, go to the market wards (or the market counter if I'm already in the wards), check the current common price again, go back and summon my retainer again.

I don't mind the retainer system, but I would very much like the convenience of actually being able to check those top 20 lowest prices of the item I want to see via the retainer so I'll be able to view it and sell it right then and there rather than running back and forth. This is especially true when I have such an enormous amount of loot in both mine and my retainer's storage and I have to physically look up each and every one at the counter to get single unit prices.

I've been saying since 1.20 that they should have added the price history to the sellers/retainer side and not the buyers side, it makes no sense putting it on the buyers side.

Can't see it being changed any time soon of course, seems these days they only take idea's and feedback from the JP side.

I've made this for myself on items I sell often, but shouldn't need to go to these lengths really to get average sale prices.

It's too bad they don't allow us to save the price history data so that someone could make a site like http://www.ffxiah.com/... and no before some says it http://www.ffxivpro.com isn't as good :P

SE please give us the tools to make better websites and databases

I should really make something like that for myself, especially when I get into high-level crafting. As of right now, I only just sell whatever stuff I pick up from monsters and leves, but I got so tired of running back and forth that I just look at an item and slap a price on it based on it's level and power and if I remember seeing it being sold at an NPC for a certain price or not. Not to mention the price differences in Ul'dah compared to the other main cities.

    Legit suggestion.

Personally, I hate the whole market ward system enough to just sell my shit to NPCs. I don't have the luxury to take 30min every time I log on to check market prices of everything I'd wish to sell.

Considering how easy it is to make gil in this game, I can see why you'd do that. I made nearly 500k just from leves and quests alone... which is good since I hardly sell anything because no one is buying anything.

It's like the current party system. It's functional, but it's so messy that no one knows how to properly use it, or doesn't care at all.

Pretty sure that one we get a proper AH in 2.0, FFXIVPro will jump right on making it like FFXIAH.

Depends if they have access to the information, I'm hoping SE make things like the AH pretty open for addons, similar to how WoW does.

We won't even need external sites if they do it properly.

other suggestion.... implement auction house and throw away the shity ward system.. no one need it..

to shop and sell items through the auction house in FF11 was fun.. in FFXIV it is not. i dont get why i need a soulless npc ward between me and the customer.. the auction house did also well.
