I've seen multiple statics use them as cheat sheets for Heavyweight and UMAD. Being able to put it in a corner of the game window is simply more convenient.calling it pornography is a bit dramatic dont you think?
The strategy board is really only used in very early Savage/Ultimate prog in PF. Once the raidplans are out there's not really a reason to use them.
Although, some people like using them as a cheat sheet like for M12s phase 1
I realize that there are legit reasons for having the strategy board, however there should be a way to disable it for the people not doing the content that needs it.calling it pornography is a bit dramatic dont you think?

It's none of my concern if you want to call pics of penis, breasts, and vaginas "pretty pony pictures", or whatever euphamism you would like to use.
In my part of the world we call it pornography, unless its in a medical journal or some other teaching tool. There are laws against making pornography available to young people, which many ff14 players are.
Reportable offense. Report the players in question to GMs if you have a problem with it.I'm wondering why Square thought it was okay to force me, against my will to view pornographic pictures shared to me in roulettes via the strategy board.
I accept that it has a useful function among organized raid groups, however not everyone is in a raiding FC.
I find it absurd that I can easily turn on a profanity filter in my chat window, and yet I am still subjected to the strategy board pornography within the game itself.
Let's not get too derailed.
The matter is you are seeing the content of a strategy boards if you like it or not, the feature is intrusive. We should have the option to not see strategy board sharing.

Totally agree here. I was just confounded by someone seeing explicit content in some primitive graphical shapes. A quick search of the Interweb didn't help either - seems like the Strategy Board is such an insignificant feature that even Rule 34 does not pertain to it![]()

This is the answer. I've actually been pretty impressed at the restraint people have shown with strat boards. While I know for sure the Time to Penis was about 2 nanoseconds after the feature was released, no one has been dumb enough to share anything like that randomly, at least not in any group I've been in. People showed less restraint with their instant portraits....maybe they learned after enough of them got time outs and Official Chats that they should keep their naughty strat boards to themselves.
I do agree with this. I like getting the random memes and the actual strats, but I'd also like to be able to turn it off when I have enough of both.

I just wish it wasn't auto save. It's such a terrible design. I'll save it if I want to. I don't mind getting spammed by useless meme strategy boards I just DESPISE having to manually delete them each time. I didn't sign up for shitty memes.
+1 on disabling auto-save. If there's already a save popup, there's no need for it to be forced. A board that for any reason isn't helpful shouldn't bury the ones the player actually wants. Memes aside, the strategy might just suck.
