I did answer your question, you just don't like the response to that question.. In fact, I have answered your question several times, once before you've even asked it.... As I clearly stated, self-intervention has limits (This includes ignoring and blacklisting them)... Not all stalkers are driven by a need to gain a reaction. Not all stalking is driven by a social interaction either. I have experienced people/friends get stalked and have really creeping things done without even ever having even initiated a conversation.

I also wouldn't be the one to go around parading the whole "Don't try to backhand insult" - When you've spent half of your responses to me trying to essentially proclaim that people are offloading their 'mental health'. Despite practically every post from myself suggesting otherwise.

You also say "don't go to venues" when I was a Viera I got a tell in LIMSA when I was just going to the market board from someone asking if I could be their "dom" because my character was "So hot" this behavior is not strictly unique to venues some people are genuinely that unhinged.

You clearly have no idea what kind of psychotic people are out there, but keep living in your bubble, I guess.

When I started to play this game I was a cat girl and I got random tells as a sprout of people asking if they can protect me and if me can be their "kitten", after a short while I fantasia'd to Viera and got even more weirder and creepier tells. Because on the internet I have a power in my own hands to choose how I react to things like that. Reading the replies in this forums it seems to me like some people just crave and love to be the victim. No offence... Again, people on the internet cannot do anything to you. And if you share all the private info about your personal life to someone and they choose to bully you outside of the internet then get police involved. Simple as that. Didn't parents taught you all how to protect yourself online? :C

It's just the juxtaposition of you having that agency , and others saying that they don't.

It is not the ultimate resource, it is just as limited as the persistence of the person stalking, beyond a certain point that resource just becomes ineffective.

You're trying to assert this as a mutually exclusive dilemma, which it isn't, irrespective of how much you want to scream otherwise. A player can take all those measures, e.g., ignoring them, then block listing them, being cautious what personal information or cross-platforms they divulge, but they can still expect that Square Enix beyond a certain point take matters in their own hand, similarly as they should expect law enforcement to take the matter into their hands should it spill to real life.

At this point you're just essentially trying to scorn people for seeking out additional (and perfectly reasonable) measures, your responses are akin to "They shouldn't be sanctioned because you have all the tools"

At this point I am more convinced you would rather propose "Maybe you should make a new character" rather than expecting reasonable enforcement of their own ToS.

Blacklist and move on. Report people if they make comments that break ToS. People trying to communicate with you that are on your blacklist aren't breaking ToS by doing so.

The problem here is with people that do and say things which are against the ToS, which aren't actioned when realistically they should be.

Not all stalking and harassment stems from RP or direct communication. I don't even RP in this game. I have been stalked over Ishgard Restoration when it was current content, and when there were leaderboards associated with it. I have had friends stalked over the self-same thing, and I have had friends stalked over PvP, and I have had friends sent non-solicited pictures of their own character (They barely even play, and have never RP'd)

Good for you, but your response here only amounts to "Doesn't happen to me, therefore doesn't exist" - Also, frankly the cause of why people are stalked and what resulted in their being stalked isn't really any of your business lmao.

I just find it generally comedic that some people seem to have an apparent allergic reaction to people asking that they do a better job at enforcing their own ToS.
