

its not the same thing, I have 100%spirit bond on a lot of my gear that is not converted. Even in the info it will say convertible or not convertible.figured everyone would understend SB and wouldnt have to put "Convert to Materia" since its the same thing >.>... but yes they do convert to the new materia. I never saved any extra ifrit/mog weapons because at the time u were not able to SB them but now im gettin dupe garuda drops and i cant convert them ><
Spirit bond is what you need to do before you convert the gear.
Understand that, whats the point of SB if ur not gonna convert tho.... ur getting off the subject here ifrit/mog weapons can b converted and garuda can not


maybe so that later you can convert them instantly without having to go out and SB again like a lot of people did with their moogle ifrit weapons, since they had been using them they were able to convert them from SB they had previously attained.


Uhn... I'm going in here making a guess based on how I would do the programming.
Probably, all the weapons fit in a single 'mold', a single base that they use to very rapidly make every weapon code-wise without needing to recreate 90% of the weaponry code every single time (it probably prevents code cluttering). That means that every single weapon will be spirit-bondable even if it isn't convertible. And I presume that 'remove spiritbond value from non-convertible gear' is dubbed "far too much work for far too little gain".
lol either way im hoping that they include garuda weapons in equipment that can be converted in 1.22a or b
