Avoid as teammate

Please add a slot to avoid 1 player on my team for at least 1 match. Give it a cooldown of an hour its fine. Just don't force this player on my team back to back and make me have to match their job or wait for them to leave queue in order to play. I rather wait 30 minutes in queue.

Look at overwatch. Just steal that system but obviously only have 1 slot max or something.

Solves nothing, the algorithm is designed to put you with bad teammates vs good teammates on a winstreak. At best you will get another window licker that doesnt have experience with your playstyle still fresh in mind. Not once has avoid teammate gotten me a john wick replacement, i find when i even acknowledge avoid teammate as a function, it just fills up to max slots at record speed and i still get the herpaderp squad. In FF14 they suspend and ban people for the most ridiculous stuff. If someone is not just doing bad but is intentionally doing bad try report and see if that removes them from everyones lobby for a while. I rarely see intentional griefing in FF14 compared to overwatch, but also to reflect my first point, OW would actually give you matches you were supposed to lose and only give you like a 20% bonus for "uphill battle" its all rigged and unless you manipulate the algorithm by losing on purpose in other modes then catching your free win streak in ranked to balance 50% W/L and player retention, dont expect uber teammates unless you buy them with a thrower loss streak and some cash shop spending. If you solo queue, expect to want to avoid whole teams often, thats what happens when you are expected to rank climb in unwinnable matches with bad teammates.

its not a conspiracy, its literally in the patents and live dev Q&A interviews. Its why you see streamers with $8000 worth of cosmetics missing all their shots and complaining its an off-game still ranking up in the highest tiers meanwhile someone with higher mechanical skill and game awareness gets stuck in bronze hell then silver hell then gold hell then plat hell then when diamond comes around they finally realize there is zero skill improvement because half the players above metal rank got carried there by people like themselves fighting tooth and nail, and half the players in metal rank were top 500 smurfs infinitely better than the diamond+ rein junkrat mercy 1 tricks.

Think of it this way, the algorithm sees you do good, sees a masters smurf do good, puts you against each other, and fills the lobby with actual silver players. You will never get a fair ranking up system, but you can rig the rigged system in your favour.

Probably just a very jaded pvp player, but he's also not entirely wrong...in different games.
Especially other FPS games with SBMM have been known to adjust your team members to keep you within a 50% win/loss ratio and "engagement" metrics high, I just doubt this game is even capable of implementing a system like that.

It won't do much, if you see them playing a class like DRK for example, just switch to a tank class like PLD or GNB, high chance you won't get them, unless you are unlucky and still get them vs two other tanks.
(Or you can just play the same class, 100% you will not get them, but probably another team constellation) after Platin you will only see the same players anyway, atleast on EU.

Honestly avoid as teammate would be amazing. Especially if someone starts doing things to ruin the match in pvp. Makes it so you have a much lower chance to get them on your team or enemy team

This would be abused to death in ranked. Not only to dodge the same person from the small pool of the same players every game, but also to shun black sheep so they don't even get queues because everybody has them on avoid.
