Pretty sure DNC is like the last job that has any semblance of a non-deterministic rotation. Surely you see how gutted the jobs are over the years. Precious few jobs actually got harder (like DNC, which started out as a joke in ShB). BLM was gutted in 7.2, AST, SCH, MCH, MNK, WAR and DRK were gutted in ShB, SMN, arguably NIN gutted in EW. DRG, RDM gutted in DT (though RDM was arguably gutted since EW). BRD every xpac since ShB lol. I would even argue MCH was first gutted in SB after Gauss casts were yeeted but that would be too far for a lot of people here. The only jobs that aren't "gutted" are the ones that started out as a joke like PLD (has always been a joke since ARR) or DNC (which got harder each xpac). It's also telling that whatever job the devs forget about tend to be the ones that actually stay hard for a while (basically every MNK iteration where the devs didn't realize what the actual optimal rotation was like SB RoW).Dancer. The combo isn't a perfect loop and burst is longer than 30 seconds with the 7 seconds needed for technical step/finish. You need to manipulate the GCD to go in combo neutral or that combo/proc will fall and cost damage. This cane be done though using last dance or saber but it does take gauge planning and manipulation and is a key skill of high level dancer.

Either way if people think evolved will be harder will skill expression thats skme serious cope. Its baby mode for casual players to attract the switch market. That's why it has like 10 buttons. Its not going to be the skill expression people want by a long shot.Pretty sure DNC is like the last job that has any semblance of a non-deterministic rotation. Also yeah as a MCH main if I wanted to play a caster I would but I dont. Gun mage aint it for me and wasnt for a lot of people which is why they changed it.
There has to an exception for every rule.Dancer. The combo isn't a perfect loop and burst is longer than 30 seconds with the 7 seconds needed for technical step/finish. As was already said, Dancer started out as a bit of a joke when it was released in ShB. So simple and easy to play that the "clueless terrible dancer player" became a stereotype for years, despite the job getting only more complicated.
Monk is another of those exceptions, where every major job rework since Shadowbringers ended up making said job worse they somehow managed to make a decent Monk rework, most likely on accident, in 6.0. Only to then mess it up again.
I think anyone not blinded by pre-expansion hype can see it if they really look at the footage. Is it possible that they will massively improve the next time we see any info? I mean, I guess miracles can happen, but the devs don't have a good track record.
What we were shown so far at least is barely even a new mode, you go through the exact same rotational beats as you do right now, just with less buttons and even less to manage.

I'm slightly less pessimistic but mostly because I feel the jobs are all already extremely boring and even if a singular button is interesting on a job (like Sky High) it's already a net positive for me. But I don't disagree that evolved jobs don't look promising at all, especially WHM, which looks straight trash.Either way if people think evolved will be harder will skill expression thats skme serious cope. BRD as well in the burst (and some PP repertoire optimization on the fly). It's basically priority based like DNC depending on gauge levels and RA procs, but it has less priority intricacies than DNC and more finicky clipping bs due to the eternal empyreal drift problem.Pretty sure DNC is like the last job that has any semblance of a non-deterministic rotation. Can't say that DNC was such a joke in SHB, although comparatively back then we had a lot less dumb jobs so perhaps it was. Still, it had a surprising amount of care around overwriting procs (flourish just overwrote anything) and a melee component due to AoE moves being viable on single target. Not especially galaxybrain, but not necessarily easier than today. It's EW DNC that was a lot more braindead imo because it removed all the pain points of ShB without adding new ones, like DT did with Tillana.

It's truly astounding how we've reached a stage in the game where the hardest role might unironically be phys ranged.

do we have anything more substantial about this "evolved does lil more damage, heh heh" claim, like, other than Yoshi P saying "evolved does more damage, heh heh" in promotional event?
did they add ungarmax back onto evolved mode? :')
The PLD preview has me wondering if Evolved tanks will still have the same level of survivability they have now. That alone would get a massive percentage of players to cling to Reborn, even the healers are suited to keep squishier tanks alive with high DPS (and more specifically if Evolved healers are more fun to play but still bored with Reborn tanks.)
SE can't balance to save their goddamn life. EX: Launch Picto. Especially because the person who designed picto is lead for the evolved jobs. They will be overtuned to hell and they will be required if you want to complete the tier befoer week 4. But judging by the way you speak you don't care about that and just want to ragebait on the forums.
