The tendency of some people to see playing the game as some kind of chore that you have to "get through" is very strange. No, you don't have to be level 100 and do the most recent Savage raid on your first day of FFXIV. Why should you? They also fundamentally misunderstand what expansions are; extra content for players who have already completed the base game. They aren't supposed to be a starting point, hence the terms "expansion" and "endgame".

Instead, I think SE should add a Raid Skip - because asking people to sit through 69,000 hours of prog just to reach the end of the tier is too much to ask. Using the Raid Skip will automatically clear every Savage and Ultimate raid and grant you all of the rewards instantly. So much time saved!
