Answer is still on the Dev Tracker lol.We will be fixing/adjusting the Garuda battle in patch 1.22a, which is scheduled to be released on May 10th.
The adjustments to the battle will be made such that there are no extreme effects to players who have been using regular strategies. Once Garuda’s HP falls to a certain percentage she will use Aerial Blast.

 
			
			
				Why are we getting AF weapons? Ifrit, moogle, garuda, class. Why so many weapon sets. I am not complaining, I hope the quests to get the weapons are good like the armor sets where.

It's a good question. With the way SE has balanced / introduced Ifrit, Moogle and Garuda Weapons, and also Grand Company Class Weapons... I wonder what unique characteristic they'll have for Artifact / AF Weapons?
Will it be a purely horizontal-style upgrade (just another stat (Ifrit was Attack, Moogle was Accuracy, etc.)? Or will they be upgradeable?
And how will they balance that against Materia-Crafted Weapons (e.g., BLM Wands with Materia) etc.? We'll find out soon.

				It's already been stated that they'll be upgradeable. Also since single-meld is what the game is balanced for, I imagine they'll consider that much. I'm betting the weapons will have bonuses you can't get with materia, like the AF armor.Hi Irishwars,

				Maybe because these will suffice for the less "hardcore" players that don't want to grind Primals multiple times for their weapons? They should also serve as good entry-level weapons before starting primals. People seem to forget sometimes that content is developed for new players too.
Also, I thought I remembered reading that AF weapons aren't coming till 1.22b. I guess we'll see. We should get the other two Hamlets and I think the Imperial Stronghold in this coming patch though.
