This is changing in 8.0.

Most jobs are no longer going to have buffs of any kind as part of the new combat cadence with the removal of the 2 minute buff timers.
I was expecting party buffs that boost party damage like the one that Monk or Red Mage has to get axed, not ENTIRE KEY PARTS OF OF THE PERSONAL BURST TOOLKIT that MAY OR MAY NOT ACTUALLY BE NECESSARY to clear higher end content with strict DPS checks, because everyone knows that there is that one developer that will continue to design encounters like that, and they forgot to adjust enemy HP to account for that, because the developers seem to think "HP Sponge = Hard/Difficult + Fun" only to find out from other people that "HP Sponge = Boring + Tedious" on top of the Dark Souls school of boss design... so they better bring back DoT management if they do ax personal DPS buffs, otherwise they are going to have EVEN MORE BALANCING PROBLEMS.
