Could we have an option to reduce colors and flashes in fights, please?

i haven't done the new trial yet, but as another autistic individual i fully agree with everything op said. the flashing lights were already an issue in a lot of other fights, but DT fights have been a visual nightmare at minimum, and incredibly overwhelming at its worst. i ended up officially buying migraine lenses just to try and help with the pain that starts kicking in if i even attempt to farm or raid prog for more than 15 minutes, sometimes less depending on the fight. add the full screen shaking that can't be toggled and it's extremely disorienting and it's reaching a point where the game feels unplayable. it especially sucks because this is my first time doing a savage tier, and several other people in my static are having similar issues with the visuals.

I've also had issues with Dawntrail trials & raids inducing migraines with all the flashing and visual noise; The 7.3 trial in particular was awful for this! I could barely finish the normal, and there's not a chance I can try the EX version, or most of the higher-end content this expansion.

Ideally, future encounter design wouldn't rely so heavily on extreme lights and visual noise for their difficulty, and it's been frustrating seeing this get worse rather than better. But if this design approach is a must, it is just as necessary to provide options to tone it down, similar to party fx options.

I'm not surprised. When I first saw it, I went "Oh no, tons of bright flashing lights again". Thankfully, those are fine for me but I found myself utterly overwhelmed by the visual effects in the new alliance raid. There is so much clutter that I find the mechanics incredibly hard to read.

I've heard of that hell just not unlocked it yet, as it's been hard feeling motivated at all this expansion, won't surprise me if I'll struggle seeing anything when I do get to it... I only have one good eye so all this visual clutter they've been putting in everything makes it way harder for me to process what's even happening.

coming back after having caught up on everything up to 7.35 and.... it's awful. there are so many moments during fights where i have to close my eyes to try and avoid triggering a migraine because of the light effects. i've only been able to do the alliance raid 2 or 3 times because i'm so nauseous by the end that it's just not worth it. tbh i'm worried that if this keeps up i'll have to step away from the game more than i already have

Completely agree. DT has definitely been the worse expansion for these bright flashes. It would be nice to turn down these flash effects. I will only turn my own battle affects to full when either fishing or blue mage as I’ve struggled to see if my attacks in that case are targeting enemies idk why just do. And I forgot to switch back Holy 3 is it now omg I thought holy itself was bad. There’s no need for these effects to be as bright and blinding as they are. I tbh struggled in the Ishgard housing area on a sunny day with it being too bright at times but thankfully now my FC has moved and Shiro is definitely kinder on the eyes even on sunny days.

I have messed with monitor settings but that is not enough to deal with these bright flashy animations and areas.

That doesn't affect bosses or the environment, which have been the main culprits since Paradigm's Breach, so it's irrelevant.

This only affects player spell effects, not the arena's or boss VFX.
