    I can only judge by what was shown so far but to me it seems like the whole evolved jobs thing will be even more dumbing down and simplification than we ever had before.
    I know it is still early, but just by looking at it

    All jobs shown fill a gauge, then spend it
    Warrior's inner release design has been cooied onto bard and drg
    Brd uses song -> unlocks strong combo
    Drg uses Stardiver -> unlocks strong combo
    No tank stances anymore (was probably useless at this point i guess)
    Things like rescue, swift cast etc seem to be gone, also mp usage kinda gone. Only cure and glare cost mp
    Every job shown as like 4 or 5 buttons max to attack
    2min meta gone (i didnt believe it) but raidbuffs also gone and personal buffs, too. No fight or flight, no mercy. Dancer without dance partner, astro without cards possibly.
    Instead we get 40sec or 60sec loops.... and that's better?

    Splitting the tanks is the dumbest decision ever. When off tanks do more damage, just bring 2 off tanks. I'm sure they will be able to handle the damage as always.
    Also warriors will INSIST to be MT, we all know it already.
    I'm very sceptical and more needs to be shown to convince me, but like i said it is still early to tell.

    Also would greatly want to be able to split merged buttons up. That is my only trepidation with evolved mode and that would solve it entirely.

    Realistically, there's no reason to not have a Shirk macro, and a Shirk macro can just include /macroicon "Shirk", making it seem unchanged.
    I think a skill like clemency I really think for solo content it will feel odd having to target myself off the fly
    Wouldn't Holy Spirit be clemency on yourself if you had no target? Since Holy Spirit normally requires a target.
    I don't want to accidently press shield bash when I meant to press shield lob but i was in range.
    I can't think of a scenario where I've ever pressed it close except on bosses with a massive hitbox, where my brain didn't remember that I'm right next to the boss, because in some ways my brain still thinks like ARR and HW days where we had tiny hitboxes. In this scenario, Shield Bash or Shield Lob would be equally bad potency either way and not stun anything.

    I agree, we need options to 'unmerge' skills. Pressing the same button over and over again for different skills/effects feels awkward and boring to me. This is why I don't enjoy PvP anymore and I don't want to see the same thing in PvE. This needs to be optional, people should be able to choose whatever they prefer!

    This sounds good on paper but it doesn't work because it lights up all 3 combo buttons on the hotbar which is distracting and it looks stupid... I tried it with currently existing combos and it's annoying.

    Why not? the system is already in the game and was introduced with Dawntrail. You can unmerge (most) actions already.
