    The current system is already like that.
    If you use all ingredients HQ you will get an HQ item if you´re not doing so bad during the synthesis.

    I´m since the update on 57/57 (3 of them are the new weapons the rest also R50+ synths) when using all HQ ingredients.

    It´s a lot easier if you can use the right skills but even a non skilled crafter should get a 1/3 ratio with the new system, what ist way better thean it was before xD

    Maybe you are not using the correct abilities while crafting. I've gotten over 400 quality quite a few times using all NQ mats on crafts that are, at minimum, 4 levels over my current level. Its my understanding that there are no recipes over level 55 so you should be able to get ~90%, possibly 100%, using HQ mats if you get some decent quality your carefuls.

    In my opinion, something that is supposed to be the highest and hardest recipe in the game shouldn't be guaranteed HQ even with all HQ mats but that doesn't change the fact that is possible.

    I am not making an argument as to whether or not I personally believe (from a game balance standpoint) HQ mats should always result in HQ result; speaking personally, I'm perfectly fine with a system where HQ results are completely dependent on my own skill and available abilities. I am not particularly concerned about metagame evaluations of the relative market value of HQ results, either, as I don't much care about crafting for profit right now. My experience is primarily based upon crafting HQ items that are unavailable in the market, for direct use by me and my friends.

    I created this thread because the players were sold on a system where HQ mats are required for HQ synthesis, but in exchange for this new requirement, HQ synthesis would be guaranteed. This is not the system we received, and (to my knowledge) Yoshida has yet to address this departure from a feature that he himself directly promised.

    If you read my post, you'd know its possible to guarantee a HQ on any recipe lower than you level and almost guarantee a HQ on the highest recipes in the game. Maybe yoshida should have put a disclaimer on the 100% statement that said "if crafted correctly, guaranteed HQ"
