I feel the daily/weekly quests/challenges and roulettes kinda already serve this purpose - only it's not just for logging in but for actually engaging with the content on a daily basis.
What they could add, though, is a streak mechanism - with nothing major to win so people who simply don't have the time don't lose out completely but fun little rewards like more scrips/tomestones/coins to exchange etc.

No I really don't want another mobile game feature

he's going to grift, harass, downplay, disenfranchise, gaslight, stalk, and gate keep!
We've reached the point where gamers are so gaslit by dark patterns that they're asking for games to be more predatory because that's what they're used to.
A lot of the current daily/weekly challenges and roulettes are horribly outdated/give a poor payout and people actively avoid some of them though. Guildhest and MSQ roulettes for example are not at all popular, or how we only have weekly challenges for some Deep Dungeons and Field Operations but not all of them.
If not daily log-ins being added, then they need to seriously update the current weekly challenge log to cover more and relavant content. (Why is it 3 Squadron missions when the content has been long abandoned? Why can't it also include 3 Trust runs if I want the company seals badly enough?)
Given that the Grand Companies THEMSELVES have been long abandoned content, I don't think it really matters if Trusts are connected to them or not. If they need to, just change the "Grand Company" set of challenge logs to "Eorzean Alliance" to make it more encompassing of factions/nations beyond the GCs and add more appropriate tasks from there with non-company seal rewards if necessary.
