I think the NPC was just being super friendly to a stranger (me). Either way it gave me a good laugh lol.
I will never know if it's an actual representation, only the writer knows about it. But imo that's not for me to decide. Interpret however you like, just don't sh!t on other's plate.


I'll be honest. I think the reception would be slightly more negative if the NPC had been a catgirl with identical lines. Not that it would have made much sense for a catgirl to make innuendo about her lance.




Well, she could have said "a lance" I guess.
Anyway I think I'm just a bit over hypersensitive people who feel harassed by everything. Things are toned down/boring enough these days with sensitivity readers and other things.


People are sensitive! I think the NPC was fine, but also don't think there's any issue with people not liking it.




My problem is when they compare their sensitive feelings to harassment, soas to discourage writers from creating flavorful characters. It's a rather extreme accusation for a line of innuendo.


I suspect your statement was designed with discouragement in mind as well, yes?
