Depends on how they handle a snapshot scenario with Kranel_San's refund situation. It's already not a cancellation or prevention, but a return on a "buff attempt applied on a target with the buff at the time of buff application". Might be a pain to code for how they have their systems set-up in place, but if done properly avoids most scenarios. It's probably the best solution we have at this point in time. This idea is great in theory, but experiencing this game's net code shows this won't work that well in practice. If an adlo heal and shield can heal and MIT the same attack if timed properly, this mechanic will miss the mark of it's intended purpose quite a lot when the rezzes happen too close together.
Much better than my initial thought of give all healers the Blue Mage Resurrection treatment.
You mean RDM is top prio unless burst followed by SMN (if they have it)-> WHM->AST-> SCH-> SGE.Hey guys! been raiding in PF a lot recently i noticed the insane amount of times healers will overlap swiftcast rez, and i think the "top down" method isn't enough, so I'd like to present a new priority system that I think will be much better for both prog and (re)clears, and be much more better for PF AND STATICS overall. Here is my suggested prio system:
(1) SMN - Should always rez first, they werent doing anything anyway
(2) WHM - They have an amazing mana economy, not very negatively impactful for them to rez
(3) SCH - although having a worse mana economy than AST, this job is for the gifted and talented, the short multitask of rezing while doing mechanics should be no problem
(4) AST -amazing mana economy, they'll be perfectly fine ressurecting
(5) RDM - unlike smn, this job has a lot going on and a burst to build, shouldn't interrupt their dps unless the pull starts going downhill
(6) SGE - I have never seen a sage clutch up in my life... rather not risk it, probably okay during prog but wouldn't recommend in a clear pull.
if multiple people die, person at the highest of the prio starts from the top, and second highest starts from the bottom
I hope u guys will come around to this priority, honestly insane that the game has been going for 10+ years and we have such a mid strat for rezzing. Lets change the world.
It highly depends on what mechanic is coming up and the general HP of the party, as well as who has Swiftcast ready or not. If multiple people are dead and a body check mechanic is coming up AST > sch/sge.
Are you? SMN has Swiftcast as part of their Ifrit or Garuda rotation.

Crazy

excellent post
old man yells at clouds
These people really complaining about an MMORPG being grindy ICANT

After seeing the mountain of "tech debt" they have due to janky net code. Your pipe dream of a decently coded solution slowly gets realized it can never happen with the current state of how they handle overlapping packets.
We are already have a lot of "rules" that players placed upon themselves with: "only you must resurrect" and so on. No need for more baiting and stupid threads.
There is no way I’ll take top priority raising as a summoner. I will clash with a healer 99% of the time because no one is going to do that. Also I think the role that does the least dps should lose it to raise, not a dps, in general. There are always exceptions, like if the healers are clearly strained on resources and are struggling. Otherwise, healers raising has always worked just fine.
Also, other things have to be considered with putting summoner as top priority. For example, in burst that would be quite a damage loss. Summoner would want to wait until after demis to do it.
It also assumes swift is up, which it may not be due to snapshotting casts into buffs/pots or the occasional use for mobility.
