It might also be that i hate the number 3 or something. I hated to forced 3v3 they put in dissidia NT while the previous mainline dissidia final fantasies were strictly 1v1. I felt like it just encourages degenerate behavior like ratting.
Iirc YoshiP once said he was a fan of DaoC (don't have the source...), maybe that's why he insisted on the three-way format. I'm not a hater of it, but at the same time I think it better suits... well, as per GW2 and some others, a more "persistent" battlefield. Something bigger than a FL match. They're too claustrophobic and ephemeral to support it.

I like 1v1v1 aspect of frontline. I don't really have the energy to defend it, because it's something akin to liking cats, walks in the rain and pina coladas (all of which i like).
    It's chaotic and it's fun.

I'll say it again, but people wanting to remove the 1v1v1 will essentially remove the only guardrail against teams snowballing without further and deeper reworks to the mode.

There was clearly an idea behind the 3 faction system, if one team starts steamrolling with BH5's the other two can team up temporarily to stop that.
But it's basically a coin toss whether this happens or whether the other faction or even your own teams up with 1st place to collectively steamroll the unfortunate 3rd.

Or the less likely but even worse scenario where you're not even steamrolling with BH5's, you're just slightly ahead of the other two teams and they proceed to camp your graveyard, not letting you get close to any nodes until the match is almost over because the numerical advantage makes it impossible to gain the upper hand.
